Do you remember what BB said was the problem with yielding lot of rushing yardage in 2002 when our NT couldn't cut it.
He said the run is a responsibility of the Line and LBs. But any play over 20 yards on the ground is the responsibility of the Safeties. I think it is highly indicative that the Pats have not yielded a long rush for a TD of over 20 yards.
Geno is doing his job, very well. Even when he doesn't finish the tackle, he slows them up enough to insure someone else can recover and stop the offensive player. There were at least three plays that the Cowboys executed that against other Teams might well have yielded a TD for them. Two runs one each by by Barber and JJ, that got deep into the secondary, and the KO return that was stopped by Harrison after some 70 yards. In every case the Safeties did theiir job. Geno was in on both rushes.
