Hahahahahahaha - - you're going to parrot ace "reporter" Shannon Sharpe???????

If money was a problem for the Patriots - - why did they sign him in the first place? Money is never a problem for the Patriots. Salary cap is the only thing that ever holds them back.

They do everything first class - - they were the first team to get their own private jet for travel, their food in the complex for the players is unheard of in the NFL - - Corey Dillon waxed poetic about the lobster claws at the team buffets during training camp - - coming from his old team, he couldn't believe his eyes. Every player who has come from another team has had similar reactions - - they cannot believe how much the team spends on things no other owner would conceive. But how would you know - - you joined here the minute the Eagles beat the Pats in SB 52........:p

I only said it was a rumor. I don’t think it’s true either as it doesn’t make sense.

Pertaining to the salary cap. At least that’s what I assume the poster means.

As far as I know, our hope is that once the grievance is filed and the appeals play out, the ultimate ruling is in the team’s favor and they receive credit for 2020. As we know, that’s a long way off and there will be legal hurdles to jump through, first.
I think, due the vagaries of the cap rules, if the grievance went in the pats favor tomorrow, we still wouldn't get a credit until 2020.

So, to recap:

1) Pats achieved goal of messing with Gruden and Tomlin, showing them what BB is capable of at any given moment
2) Pats are out a few hundred thou
3) Pats are still winning the SB
4) Pats WR corp is still quite talented
5) Only a few groupies miss AB, most have moved on

Did I miss anything?

Yeah...$5M in lost salary cap space.

You mean to sign that big yet-to-be-named FA that's going to magically become available in November? Sorry, I missed that one.
No, I mean to perhaps acquire the TE and/or LT who might be made available by a non-contender at the trade deadline...Sorry you missed that one.

No. That’s not what I meant. The nightmare for you is that they released Brown due to money and not due to his behavior.

There's nothing better than passing along rumors.........

OMG - McCann mentions Incarcerated Bob!

Why should they not have. He was going to end up on the exempt list over something the Pats did not know when they signed him as a one year rental.

I read that Nino Brown is taking a tech writing class at Central Michigan. I could always use a good tech writer. Hope he types as fast as he runs.

Regards,
Chris

He misread the syllabus. He thought it said "Text Writing".

Bonus forfeitures are credited to the cap on the next league year regardless, as if they were surplus that was rolled over. Even if Brown didn't grieve, the Patriots would get the portion of the salary cap that hit in LY 2019 credited in LY 2020. A signing bonus in the current league year is gone off your cap no matter what.

Ah well, such is life :)

AB posted a new instagram pic in Patriots colours talking about being held to an unfairly high standard.

I agree with him. But what's more Tom Brady agrees with him. Tom instantly "liked" AB's post within minutes.

What's going on here? Why is AB posting this in Pats colours. Why is Brady liking this post about AB being treated unfairly?
