Antonio Brown

And if he overruled Belichick, I think he's done as the HC of the NEP after this year. I can't imagine him allowing that to happen again.

I think Belichick understands sometimes business decisions get made and 'the brand' requires protecting well enough that he wouldn't go to the wall over this one if that were the case.

Oh wonderful, Kraft is starting to meddle again...

Word on the street is AB is going back to school, taking english and hopefully how to act 101. All AB has to do now is cool down, change, issue apologies
It was a real quickie in the way he did the release.

Brown no doubt rubbed him the wrong way with the text messages.

If reports about Kraft being the one to ultimately release Brown are correct, I have to say that’s a pretty ballsy move considering his sexual indiscretions in the offseason. Pun fully intended.

I thought Reiss reported that Kraft called up BB and after the conversation they both agreed to dump Brown. Is there new reporting that says Kraft did it without talking to BB?

That's what I thought to.
Or was the convo more like BB wanted to keep him and Kraft wouldn't budge?

Yes yes and yes. I know the resident homers on here like to act like the Seth Wickersham piece was all fake but that’s not reality.
Bullcrap. It’s been proven to be fake.
There is no way ever that Belichick would have traded Brady to keep garapolo and anyone who thinks so is an idiot.
John Lynch asked the question and Belichick told him he was crazy.

I fully admit to being salty about this completely hypocritical move by Orchid Bob.

By all appearances, Brown was working his ass off to try and assimilate into the locker room culture, and on the field as well. He obviously put in a lot of work to try and absorb the playbook in a short amount of time.

But hey, when it comes to the "brand," it's one strike and you're out the door, except if you're Orchid Bob.

Double standard, indeed.

No all that’s happened is people who don’t know the facts have had time to speculate, make things up and find a way to be critical.
Why patriot fans feel the need to create reasons to diminish Belichick is beyond my understanding.

Good.

Otherwise, right now you'd be cheering on our starting QB Garropolo and hoping the Pats can win Banner #6.

Brady is the franchise- that's different. I can see him getting involved there. It's like if the Bulls owner prevented Phil Jackson from trading Michael Jordan away. Antonio Brown is just a cog. Unless it involves Brady, I'd prefer Kraft to stay out.

Amazing how Wickersham didn’t get sued for such a fabricated hit piece on them. God forbid you admit Brady and Belichick have had tension in their relationship. They have been together 20 years it happens. You homers that dig your head in the sand at anything that conflicts with your Patriots world view are insufferable.

Good owners stay in their lane. Good owners do not make football decisions. Good owners do not divorce themselves from all situations involving the team. He is the boss.

I mean I suppose we can agree that Rosenhaus most probably had to know, right ? So he could have at least mentioned that there are negotiations about a civil suit going on without giving any details.

Or is that already too much information ?
No, that’s a good point.

He didn’t get sued so that means everything he said and other stuff he didn’t are true. Idiotic point of view.
Why would I “admit” or not “admit” something that we have no actual facts on?
Why would you consider a terrible reporter with an agenda writing a hit piece to be gospel and dismiss every actual real life thing that happened?
None of that has anything to do with making up a bs claim that Belichick wanted to traded Brady either.
There is one fact. Lynch asked if Brady were available and Belichick said “are you crazy?”
Your wild guess about what happened fails.
