From the infamous Bountygate fiasco: it's worth remembering that this guy is a certified scumbag. There is no telling what he's preaching to his Jete tool collection about going after Brady, especially with two reserve tackles trying to protect him.

"Kill the head and the body will die." What B.S.

This guy is awesome!

Going out on a limb : many NFL coaches are harnessing whatever they need to, hoping more maximum aggression from their players.

Having said that, GW’s name is the one that keeps popping up, so there is certainly something there.

For what it's worth, several of the players on the Browns actively hated the man last year and were overjoyed that he was not named head coach.

He coached his players to maim opponents and rewarded them for it. What Williams did earned him an indefinite league suspension from which he had to apply for reinstatement. Calling him a dirty bastard is being kind, he arguably should not still be coaching.

One would imagine with all the stank the Jete naturally emanate they probably didn't even notice his individual malodorousness during the interview process. That in combination with the Johnson's woeful ignorance and Gase's ineptitude is a recipe for a whole new type of disaster. But then after 50 years of being the football equivalent of the Titanic it's about time a team from the Swamplands of Jersey emulated a hometown disaster like the Hindenburg.

I don't care for Williams, but Bountygate was a crock of ****. What he said was essentially "Don't try and injure anyone. But hit them so hard they are afraid to get back up". Which is what I told my youth football teams. It's a violent game, and you have to play it violently.
I think you listened to a different clip.

You simply are wrong. You need to inform yourself on what he REALLY said and what happened (links provided above).

Not sure how some one could take that as anything less than try to injure. Talking about acl’s, turning ankles, crabtree’s concussion.

Gregg Williams is a pos and I hope one of his players knocks him the f out one day.

Actually like Sean Peyton and think he just let his coach do it the way he does and stayed out of the way. Way to harsh on that guy and the organization.

All the fines should of been towards Pos Williams and banned from the league. That was just one meeting people.

How/why he got readmitted is mystifying.

Saw this thread and confused the name with Greg Hardy.

Both were dipshits.

Granted today's game is very wussified. Even compared to the 80s n 90s.

But this is still football. Anyone who has played in HS or college can tell you, this is an insanely violent game. Kinda sounds like much of the public doesn't realize.

Like you really put on the helmet and step on that field trying to destroy the opponent.

I can't even imagine how violent it gets in the NFL. It's precisely why I love the game.

Greg Williams is a piece of garbage...along with Jamal Adams for body slamming our Patriots mascot Pat Patriot at the Pro Bowl. JeteFan79 only found humor in that incident...which sent our beloved mascot to the hospital with back injuries. All of them = Garbage

I think Gregg has truly reformed his violent ways. Look at this play. Marcus Maye goes running off in a random direction so as not to harm Odell on the way to a 89 yard TD.

None of this has anything to do with Williams' dirty outside-the-lines approach. If you're trying to normalize him you haven't a clue.

never heard that before...so disturbing...

NFL players should have been up in arms when he was re-instated

Watch the Program. 90s college football movie. Our HS coach would have us watch it every game day morning.

Injuring the opponent was a goal celebrated on "film day". Continually replaying the most violent hits from the game the previous weekend.
