Results have now been updated through last night's game.

So just for fun, which game surprised you the most that you lost this weekend? Mine would have to be Denver...can't believe they couldn't get a win at home against Chicago. I know the Bears have a good defense, but I'm surprised at how awful Flacco has been so far. He managed to make some plays late, but still... he's been terrible.

Titans got me as well. I figured Vrabel's crew would win at home but Brissett obviously had other ideas ;)

13-3 last week down to 8-6 this week , I must be tanking, time to retire

Lol, it's a long season - we'll see where everyone is at in December. I'm sure all of us will have good and bad weeks. But having a separate weekly record makes it more fun from the standpoint that every week is at least a clean slate.

I’m listed first! My last name starts with Z so I don’t think I have ever been first before.

I saw that you were among the top. Pretty cool considering you were a bit concerned during the chat yesterday ;)

@STUB STUB is up there as well. Give him a shout-out because he - not me - was the one who developed and created the "Pats Picker" roster tool... he's the man ;) Not to mention, Matt Monito is the master behind the curtain who helps keep the roster updated.

But definitely good seeing him on here and kudos again for putting that together :D

It's funny - I almost feel like the longer the season goes, the more information we have and it may even make picking these a little tougher since I could certainly see myself overthinking a lot of these. There have already been some surprising match-ups, I'm assuming that's only going to get harder to figure out, especially given how some teams will likely evolve with key guys out.

For me I would say it was the Thursday night game.

Although I missed making that pick, I was very surprised that Carolina lost at home to the Bucs.
Tampa is coming off back-to-back 5-11 seasons.
Carolina had Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly, and I thought both were fine (healthy) - but something seems off with Cam. Surprised to see the Panthers lose two in a row at home.

Most of the others that I got wrong - which were plenty - were road losses, so I can't say any of those were shocking. The one that did surprise me was Tennessee losing at home to Indy. I thought Vrabel & co. would win that game by 7+ points.

I 100% agree on the Carolina game...I thought for sure they'd be tougher at home but they were absolutely awful, not to mention I had zero faith in Winston coming through in a big game for them on the road. And you're right, Newton doesn't look right but he's such a head case that it's hard to say what his deal is. But that one was another that really surprised me as well.

And I also agree on your point with Tennessee, that was another one I missed. I thought for sure they'd play better. Was really surprised they lost but as I mentioned in another post, Brissett stepped up and played better than I expected.

Wait a sec, the dude that developed the Pats Picker routine is at the top of the standings and his handle is Stub Stub? Lmao

It was a tough week to predict. I just reviewed the week 2 schedule and road teams went 10-6. In week 1, by comparison, road teams went 7-8 (that is also somewhat surprising). It is tough to believe how little playing at home has meant early in the season. Perhaps as teams settle into the season, we'll see home-field play a bit more of a role.

Fivethirtyeight claims that in the NFL home teams have a 57.1% chance of winning. So far, this year, the home team has won only 45.2%. Things will balance out in all likelihood, or we're seeing home-field have less of an impact for whatever reason.

So far I'm much better at predicting games than scores.

PMs have been sent to this week's winners. I'm closing this thread just for the sake of having it move down so people can find the Week 3 one a little easier.

Opening this back up - I didn't let @Dragda, @STUB STUB and @maust1013 post yet, so we'll keep this open until later this afternoon, and for anyone else who would like to add to this
