I’m not sure, honestly. AB is definitely not a person I’d want to hang out with, but he is a superior talent. I’m selfish in nature and he’s on my team and I want to see a Brady to AB connection all season. Does that make me a not so good human? Sure, but I already knew that.
Every NFL team has questionable characters.

We just don't know about it.

There was mention that Drew also knew this was coming and whether he told the Patriots, before the Patriots gave the offer.

I agree with most of what you say, but she was hunting for money. She first contacted him just after he received a $19 million signing bonus. She talked him into investing $1.6 million into her business. He backed out after learning she owed back taxes and there was a lien on her property.

Not to mention the business didn't exist. His texts show he figured out she doesn't have any gym.

So she was telling everyone she owned a gymnasium but didn't?

Interesting.

Should AB suit up against Miami? I think from a PR perspective AB should be benched for a few weeks at least. Idk who's lying but either way, this ain't going to end well.

I don't know how i feel about benching him or playing him.

Benching him a few weeks while more information is gathered wouldn't be the worst idea for the team. Frankly Antonio Brown has to take some measure of responsibility for putting himself in such a stupid situation. In the best case he knew this girl was trouble and continued the relationship. I can't feel much sympathy for the team wanting to err on the side of caution for a week or two to see if anything else comes out before they play him.

On the other hand to bench him any more games will all but ensure he loses any chance to hit any of his incentives. They were hard enough with 15 games. If it becomes 13 he has no shot. To bench him simply because was he accused (with that initially looking particularly questionable) would only give fake accusers looking for a fast money grab more incentive to do so in the future. It means an accusation alone without much believably or evidence behind it is still enough to hold a barrel over a players head if they have season long incentives on the line, which a lot of them do.

Personally I find myself on the play him until proven they shouldn't side. It may well come back to bit them in the ass but you need to let these things play out in the courts. To sit him merely based on accusation (which is questionable in this case in particular) means making it only more common it happens to other player when accusers see their accusations alone can hold such leverage.

Because your dog is the product of centuries of evolution, breeding, and interdependence with humans, which has affected dogs' brain structures.

Go find a wolf in the wild, which shares 99.9% of the DNA as your dog, and it will rip your jugular out. Biologically dogs and wolves are essentially identical -- they are "designed" in basically the same way. Yet they behave in radically different ways.

IMO, this is because animals (humans included) are products of our settings and environments, not some hard-coded moral reality.
If morality isn’t inherent then it would never be exhibited.
Your argument is that morality doesn’t exist in animals (humans included) until it’s learned. Learned from whom? If it’s not inherent in humans then where did they get it from.
Morality is secondary to survival instinct. The wolf doesn’t attack because he likes to, he attacks to survive. Domesticated animals are not limited to survival instincts because they feel safety. Humans raise morality to another level because they have the intellect to understand acting morally is best for all.

If I, being a Christian, tried to make my points as vigorously as you’ve tried to make your points in this thread, I’d be accused of shoving my “religion “ down everyone ‘s throat. And, That criticism would be rightfully deserved as this is a football forum and not a platform to debate whether there’s a deity or not. At least, I have a heaven to look forward to whether it exists or not while you only look forward to decaying back to the primordial ooze from which you came.

A handful of posters have been engaging Eddard in debate for the better part of the afternoon and not a single accusation of "shoving religion down our throats" has been thrown out by anyone.

Civil Lawsuit. Neither is going to prison right?
The DAs have the option of prosecuting if discovery unearths evidence which would make the case winnable for the DA.

Brown isn’t married, but I agree with your general point. Monogamy, commitment to family, etc. aren’t merely random religious constructs...they are evolutionary societal norms that exist for a reason.

I guess you would have kicked out Gronk on his 3rd day here. lol.

She has email evidence of his profanity and other unmentionables...
He can say he was responding to her after she said she was pregnant? and that it was not possible because he jacked .... on her back. This is a he said she said..Noticed we don't know what garnered that reaction. He can phrase it anyhow he wants. He has good lawyers.
No one can know for sure but I do know that AB is not someone who will just keep a female around him, on his bed, she in her underwear and he in just his boxers. For her to make me believe their relationship was just professional in nature is impossible, I would have believed her if she said she broke off their consensual relationship and he still forced himself on her. That would have been easy to win I think.

Brown will end up loving Belichick and Kraft, if he doesn't already. By letting him practice, treating him no different, the Pats are standing up for Brown and Brown will appreciate this. The opposite of what the Raiders did with the helmet thing. This might actually be a blessing in disguise for those who were worried about Brown working out.

I guess it's still well disguised this mysterious blessing.

Absolutely.

In the eyes of the law, Brown has done nothing wrong. As long as his employer and the league are comfortable letting him play, we should too.

I want him to go 6/133/2TDs in a 49-10 win and I couldn't give 2 craps what any moral high-roader has to say.

I think he's playing. With Bob Kraft facing his own legal demons earlier in the year, I think they stand by Antonio until the facts come out.

Because its brain chemistry dictates its behavior.
It can. Behavior can dictate brain chemistry. You assumption that it is a one way street has been scientifically disproven countless times.

As an agnostic, I can appreciate this post. I feel like existential atheism takes at least as much of a leap of faith, ironically, to conclude that life has no meaning, there is no higher power, afterlife, etc, than any religion.

This is all disturbing.

It is fair to say that Brown is a phenomenal athlete and not so great a person,

Perhaps he can and should settle out of court. (?)

What part is disturbing? That he hooked up with someone who then tried to extort him?
