the first game is in just 5 days and oh boy am I excited. Saw an interesting stat today about Tua. His QBR with Jeudy on the field is in the 90s. With him off the field it is in the 40s. Not sure on the sample size with jeudy off the field.

The Florida Miami game is interesting. Feel like Florida wins that one but how close will it be?

If there is a season where 3 SEC teams make the playoff, this could be the one depending on what teams in other conferences do. If Bama and Georgia went undefeated in the RS and LSU went 11-1 with the only loss being to bama... we could have absolute chaos this year. I think this actually is possible as all 3 are just absolutely loaded. Clemson looks like a 12-1/13-0 team

The SEC was ridiculously overrated last year and this year appears to be no different. A lot of people thought UGA should have been in the playoffs, but then they got spanked by a mediocre Texas team... not to mention Alabama got spanked by Clemson (Notre Dame gave Clemson a tougher game than Alabama did).

Don't get me wrong... Alabama is a legit championship contender, but the SEC won't be sending 2 teams to the playoffs, let alone 3.

Depends on if Franks progresses. If he realizes the potential from when he was first recruited and takes the next step, we beat Miami by two scores. He has a very good, experienced team (with the exception of the OL, positions which we have recruited well for anyway) around him. Time to perform or step aside for Emory Jones.

I think the sec is overrated as a whole. I personally see it as very top heavy.

Tough to judge UGA on that game imo. They probably didn’t even want to be there. I don’t by the notion that ND gave Clemson a tougher game. Just look at the yardage. Notre dame couldn’t beat Clemson down field as a group of other teams had. Alabama couldn’t finish drives.

How long are we thinking Kirby Smart’s leash is at Georgia? He can certainly recruit, but that hasn’t led to results. He can’t beat Alabama and they looked completely disinterested in their bowl game last year.

He progressed nicely last year. The questions for both Miami and Florida are the olines. Miami s defense should be fantastic but seem to have a lot more questions on offense than flrodia

Looking forward to any college football as my tv package now has espn. Not sure what I will end up watching so I am trying to get up to speed with some teams and divisions etc

In my opinion, long. Georgia (the state) is in a great position right now with all the money they are dumping into high school ball. 2 all American lineman this year. They were my national championship pick 2 years ago and earn that honor this year. They are loaded

See, that’s the thing. They’ve been loaded and have nothing to show for it. I’d be willing to bet the noose tightens if they can’t get past Alabama again.

I think they are more loaded this year than the previous 2 years. If they lost to Alabama again questions would start being asked though. Not sure they were all that loaded in 2016 though. They weren’t exactly favorites

Another team I expect to take a big step forward in the SEC is Texas A&M. Thankfully we will get a good idea of just how good they are with that monster Week 2 tilt against Clemson.

Jimbo is building a powerhouse down there. Tough ass schedule though. I bet the over on there wins last year but I’m passing this year. The SEC is going to be better than it ever was within the next 3 years

That would be foolish of them to even think of letting smart go. He’s got them in that next tier after bama/Clemson. He’s an upgrade from where Richt had them.

Agreed. It also took Dabo almost 10 years to get Clemson where they are. I used to kill Dabo because the guy used to lose big game after big game. Now he’s winning big games, championships, and I look like a moron. He still used to get beat in a lot of big games though.

Smart had Georgia on the cusp of a natty in his second year. And lost because of the tactical switch Saban made. Not sure many other coaches would’ve had the balls to make that change

As an FSU fan, I'll say, we'll see.

Harbaugh better beat Ohio State for once..otherwise people will call for his head

That game is the only time every season where I actively root for Ohio State.
