We’re going 19-0!

Brady now has Stud-arm AND Meyers on his tail?!? :D
Prepare for psycho Tom ALL season long.

Dorsett needs to make more plays...I don't see him as a starter if his current streak continues. He needs to be more consistent on the field his disappearing act for stretches is getting annoying.
Dorsett is a reliable backup. Nothing more.

I mean, it was bound to happen, because it sounded like he was on fire during the early portions of camp and he's never really shown to be that kind of player. We knew he'd come back to Earth, we just hope that Earth is in the 4/5 WR range.

Thankfully, Meyer's rise has coincided very nicely with Harris' dip, so we're still more or less where we were. Four deep with Edelman, Dorsett, Meyers, and Harry (assuming the injury doesn't linger). Harris could still make a move, Inman could bounce back, or Berrios could surprise and win the #5 gig.

Any player that comes from the Redskins can be assumed to have a higher ceiling than would otherwise be expected.
I think in the past week he's forgotten where he is.

At this point I’m calling Meyers as a starting wr.

That's the trajectory at this point, at least. He's just showing up so consistently. When was the last new addition at WR who looked this comfortable in the offense in camp?

What's the over/under on how many passes Meyers throws this year?

This is 100% hindsight for me, because I bought into the Thompkins hype as well, but Meyers looks smoother to me. Everything seems a little more natural. I think he'll be better, but I've been wrong before... you know, once or twice...

Agreed. Thompkins was one of the weirder WRs in recent memory. He could separate from almost anyone but his WR skills weren’t there (hands, working the sideline, etc). He still had a 2 TD game, a GW TD & another 100+ yard game on SNF in his first 5 games. Everything just fizzled out after that.

Meyers is definitely closer to him than past preseason stars vs. 3rd stringers. KT was targeted 14 times week 1 in 2013 after a stellar camp/preseason so I won’t be surprised if Meyers starts across Edelman. He will need to make more of it this time around.

Of course, there have been veteran additions that looked comfortable (Welker, Hogan) right away, but I suspect you meant rookie WR additions, and it simply is rare for a rookie to be able to mind meld with TB and know where he is supposed to be consistently. I would guess that last one might be Edelman, also a QB convert. Of course, they are very different players, Edelman is vastly more athletic, and unlike Meyer played no receiver snaps in college.

Some of you might remember better, but I think I remember that Brady and Edelman "got" each other right away, but Edelman was considered more injury prone early on and of course he had one of the all time great slot receivers playing ahead of him until Welker left.

Malcolm Mitchell was no slouch either in 2016. I see Meyers there a little. In fact Mitchell and Thompkins both had 32 receptions their 1st year.

Dawson is just another one in the long list of 2nd round DB busts by BB.

Hope Williams will be good but the odds are stacked against him.

I would note that Tavon is still in the NFL, after a long career. Darius Butler also looked good after he left. I suspect there are others. I suspect that folks though of Chung as a failure until he came back.

Why's that?
