Tyreek Hill Investigation

Sadly, am I the only one who thinks it is a matter of time before this happens again? I pray for the safety of that child.......

I have been consistent in saying that this stuff is none of the league's business. I'm not going to drop that position just because the player involved is a member of the Chiefs, or is unlikable or whatever the excuse to make the exception might be. The league has no business involving itself in the non-work lives of its players. And hopefully, that NFLPA actually has the brains and balls to make sure that the next CBA makes that clear.

My guess is that the players will not do that, largely because they are spineless fools being led by someone who should never have been chosen by them, but I'll continue to hope against hope.

Mic drop. The Personal Conduct Policy should be revised/removed. It doesn't exist in most CBAs. The company should never be allowed to police a worker's life outside of work.

I don't blame the union though. It's probably pretty low on the collective bargaining totem pole.

No. You are not.

Both of these idiots are unfit to be near children let alone be parents

Goody is not policing a player's life outside of work. He is punishing players who's off-the -field behavior is damaging the brand of the league and player.

When Joe Namath was hanging out with mafia bosses and Rozelle told him to stop, that was policing.

The NFL should not be getting involved with non-NFL things. The NFL has no business getting involved in this case. While I'm annoyed at the obvious disparate treatment that the league takes in these situations, any time the league actually minds its own damned business is a good outcome.

Personal conduct policy says otherwise.....consistency and the lack of a clear message is the problem.

Considering the league's history on these kinds of matters, a multi-game suspension for Hill should've happened. But it didn't and that's because Goodell wants Kansas City at full strength to hopefully keep the Patriots from repeating. How's that for a homer spin? But maybe closer to the truth than anyone cares to admit ...

I subscribe to the theory that Goodell is (temporarily) no longer abusing his authority because they are currently negotiating a new CBA. He wants to keep his precious Article 46, so he’s going to lay low for a year or two.

Agree. Imo for the past few issues we've seen a kinder, gentler Goody since Zeke Elliott. Hill, Josh and there were a couple of others.

I think the reasoning is twofold. First is what you say. Goody doesn't want to exacerbate an already acrimonious relationship with Dee Smith.

The other reason I believe some owners told Goody to cool it with the ad-hoc , inconsistent dispensing of justice because he sucks at it and unnessarily exposes the league.

He's just going to keep doing this. He has a history. Just got away with it. Once a scumbag always a scumbag. Anyone who beats women and kids can **** off in my book. I wouldn't mind karma hitting and him tearing an ACL and I don't say that about anyone..but this guy...yeah

It’s going to be funny the second the “deflating cheating villain” TB12 retires and the NFL enters a ratings wasteland like the NBA in the post-Jordan existential crisis.

Shhhhooooowtime!!! and his child abusing psycho speedster, led by the choking Walrus, are currently the league’s succession plan as the face of the league. This face plant is going to be spectacular, an I’m exercising my middle finger to use it often when these scumbags from the NYJFL want my money again for Sunday Ticket and my time for clicks and ads. It will be glorious.

The fact that the NFL didn't suspend this POG is ridiculous.. Especially after what they did to Peterson, Elliott, Brady, and Greg Hardy

Someone tell me where in the audio this occurs.

She doesn’t deny when Hill said she basically made up the 2014 incident
As for this I already addressed it in my other post. She does deny Hill's assertion by offering a rebuttal to which he doesn't respond to.

Rapoport is on my permanent **** list now. A liar. A freaking liar. I don't care if the NYJFL* told him to say that or not. I'm still waiting for Josh Gordon to get benched for a quarter.

I posted something similar elsewhere on the web. Despicable trash.

What would his punishment be?

League punishment? zero games because he's a KC chief. If he were found guilty in a a court of law, it would be up to 6 months jail time under Kansas law.

He must mean adultery. The Eagles were livid when they found out about that. Winning seems to have changed their minds though.

The point was some of the most recent player suspensions by Goodell.. Not specific to players who had committed violence against children or domestic violence.. Otherwise, I'd have included Ray Rice..
