Goodell/NFL....

And somehow the Pats will be docked a 1st rounder for complaining.

This would be a first. A self-righteous do-gooder opportunistically climbs the political ladder and...shocker....turns out to be a scum bag. Can’t be.

....and you gotta wonder HOW the NEP found out.

My bet: Caserio ratted them out. Now its a lock hes not going to HOU.

And endears himself to BB to become the next GM...

It's kind of surprising Caserio would want to leave unless he feels he should have more power and realizes he will never get it over Belichick.

Live look at the NFL exec in charge of gathering the "Relevant Information"...

Or he told BB he wants the chance to interview to become Houston's GM.
That would force the Patriots to play this.
If it was the former I would think the Patriots wouldn't bother to file tampering charges.

On a side note if Easterby doesn't land Caserio does he lose his signing bonus?
That would be awful.

Sounds like Nick wants to leave who knew Easterby was such a dirtbag.

lmao ok let's calm down. If you had signed a no-compete clause or something at your job and then a friend of yours let you in on a deal you would think was better for your career would you really be a scumbag if you considered it?

As is typical in these types of conversations it's perfectly fine for the organization to do whatever it wants, contracts be damned, but the moment an individual may be doing what is in their best interests out come the pitchforks and moral outrage.

True sorry man I'm Patriots all the way I get very defensive and fired up

Not if they are willing to double his salary.

He'd be a fool to screw with BB.

Its ok to leave the NEP and stay solid with BB but follow the rules and Nick is following the rules.

Uh, wtf dude, I had cleared my schedule to argue with you for like 3 hours now what the hell am I supposed to do?

Evidence of potential tampering come from photos, videos, other proof of interactions between Texans exec @JackEasterby and Caserio at last Thursday's Patriots ring ceremony, which happened the night before the Houston G.M. job became vacant.

.

Lots of cameras and boom microphones, and maybe even some miked up players. Another possibility.....

Last Thursday: “Hey Nick, here is a sweet diamond encrusted lapel pin, as an extra gift, for all of your hard work. You should totally wear it tonight”.

Email to Texans front office staff last night:

Hey BOB and Jack, we received your official request to interview Nick for your suddenly vacant GM position. Our official answer is HELL TO THE NO, *****es.

Smooches,

Robert, Bill (and Pink Stripes)

If Easterby is shown to have been involved in this matter, then what a spineless little back-stabbing hypocrite he turned out to be.
Oh no, he's a highly moral Christian fella who was disgusted by Kraft getting his nuts off. Jesus loves Jackie boy and he wouldn't do anything unethical. Hypocritical? Now, that's another story...

Or maybe Easterby isn't a hypocrite and just isn't familiar with the ins and outs of NFL corporate bylaws about tampering?
