2018-19 Stanley Cup - Bruins vs Blues

Bs are beat up like SJ was. Not looking good. Blues getting players back that are making an impact. Hopefully 2 days off and a home game will right this ship.

Nobody is laughing at being due anymore.

I don't know a lot about hockey, but I enjoy watching. With that said, I think they are in trouble. Seemed like the St. Louis was more physical and every time I turned around, the B's players were losing an edge and ending up on their ass. I agree with @everlong that the Blues are unlikable.

Talk me off the ledge, gang.

I think the league did the B's a favor with 2 days off in between games the rest of the way. The B's won games 1 and 3 with more than one day's rest and lost 2 and 4 with only a day's rest. Big different if the games were Wed, Fri and Sun compared with Thur, Sun and Wed.

Usually a physical squad is unliked by the opposition.

I think if you asked most hockey/Bs fans before the series, they would have taken a 2-2 split through 4 all day long. I personally didn't buy into the "Bs in 5" either as that seemed more like wishful "win it in Boston without having to go to a Game 7" thinking.

I liked Bs in 6 before the series started and will remain with that position. Other than injuries, which can't be overlooked, this series really hasn't been all that "close". The Bs seemingly lack of injury "resiliency" has kept it close. And give the Blues credit; they are playing to their coaches philosophy. And as long as the refs will let clutching and grabbing go and then call dives as trips and head snaps as head shots, the Bs will need to adjust for that.

The Blues aren't the Canes. This was never, ever going to be a sweep.

But the Blues aren't the Leafs either; with tons of speed and high end skill talent.

The Blues are the CBJ with less talent (similar GF and GA / G)

Make no mistake, the Blues had, had, had, did I mention had? to win that game last night.

Game 5 will say a lot. If Z is sidelined with a broken jaw, that could be curtains.

If he is back with a potential bonus of Gryz, my confidence in the better team prevailing remains unchanged.

I do hold some frustration against the Bs game plan last night, namely getting only 23 shots on a Hot Basura goalie in Binnington. After the 5 GA in Game 3, blood was in the water. Hopefully that doesn't come back to bite em in the ass.

I really felt that the Leafs were the best team they played in the post season. I would like to see them keep more pressure on the rookie Binnington and pepper him instead of trying to be cute with the puck. I will feel a whole lot better if Z and Gryz get back.

Yup, Yup and Yup.

Leafs at the very least were the worst matchup.
Binnington is playing '11 Luongo-esque. They should have crushed his spirit last night for good, but Marshmont decides to pass on a wide open lane to the net.
Clifton playing "massive minutes", especially with the 4th line, who got crushed 5-5 last night, leads to 3 Minute shifts in your own zone. Blues have enough moxy to make you pay when that happens... especially with the carried forward effect it creates.

I've come to truly hate this Blues team. Thuggish, sticks and hands high on every hit, running between the numbers from behind constantly, and whining and faking like soccer players at the slightest contact.

Their coach was a punk, and here he is, complaining about the refs...

Really dislike this team, and not because they're playing the Bruins. When the Bruins lost to Chicago a few years ago, I nodded and thought the better team won. This Blues team is just ugly.
i have great respect for that 2013 Blackhawks team. I remember thinking to myself at the time how unbelievably good they were. I have no such respect for the blues. They are just a bunch of goons coached by a goon.

The early 2010s Blackhawks squads were wagons. 3 in 5.

Anyone who thought the Bruins would win this series in 5 or less was dreaming. This series is exactly what I thought it would be. Chara will play and Gryz may be back. It isn't as desperate as some on here would have you believe. Go B's.

I told you guys that I didn't like how this lined up.

Someday you will pay attention. STL has nothing to lose.
We split home games. So what?
