Yeah, nothing concrete...just a line in Breer's MMQB....

We don't have the cap space yet....

Fanrants? Amazing what any joe can do with a camera and a poster board.

Just a hunch but I believe this is his agent trying to keep him with the Vikings at a decent salary.

I assume we could create 20M+ if we wanted or have to. Cannon, Mason restructure, Brady extension (this needs to happen either way) plus possibly Edelman, McCourty, KVN extensions

ASJ is not the most durable guy Watson is old I could see why the Pats would be interested in Rudolph.

Especially because there is no real commitment money wise to any of them. Rudolph makes sense.

Are we getting rid of one of our tight ends if we get Rudolph? I think we have pretty good depth. Watson being really old is the biggest concern.

I think Watson is probably the safest.
LaCosse is probably next safest.
ASJ I could see anywhere from cut to TE1.
The rest are fighting the above for a spot.
Rudolph would certainly crowd things and likely would cost someone a spot unless they went with 4.

Edelman has been extended! But it is a lot of new money...and a short extension. He was due to make 2.6ish this year if all workout bonuses were met...he got a 8M signing bonus...to be spread over 3 seasons now...so I don't think his cap number reduced by a lot.

Also, Brady cannot be extended until August, IIRC....some obscure rule about not being allowed to renegotiate contracts twice in the same calendar year.....

But yeah, we can move things around....we had 6M in space the last time I looked...and I don't think we have signed the rookie running back and edge rusher yet...
