I pulled the trigger, burnt up the savings, 1st game at Gillette, Section 103. Opening Night, Sunday Night Football.

I get the chance to thank my Wife for introducing me to the best next passion (or first depending on time of the month) in my life by taking her along. I don’t know what it is about this franchise that is in my blood, to the point where it surpasses even the orange and blue, going to 90% of UF home games all my life and being there in school while Tebow and Co (insert the TE thou who shall not be named joke here) win multiple championships (and basketball), and that it goes beyond winning Super Bowls.

I’m blessed to be able to make such a poor financial decision (plane tickets, food, etc to come), but GOAT life decision.

Thanks to Ian and the mods for providing a place to envigorate that experience over the years...aka move the thread to the appropriate forum if need be.

I don’t have a parking pass as of yet, would love some tailgating, parking, or any other advice.

You'll love it! Have a blast!!

I went last year for opening day, after catching the Astros-Red Sox game at Fenway on Saturday. It was a wonderful trip.

If you're even half interested in history, I highly recommend scheduling an extra day to walk the Freedom Trail.

You won't need a parking pass but plan to pay about $40 to park. Plan to arrive about three hours early, park in a private satellite about a mile south of the stadium, do some tailgating.

What a game to go to. Especially because you are going to get to see them raise a Banner as well. Keep wondering how they are going to place it and what designs they have to do to make room?

Have a blast.

Room for six.....Patriots released this photo today.

They already placed it. Room for 1-2 more.

There is only a "problem"...you would like immediately to plann a return...
You will hv a great experience - hv fun with all Pats Fans

Tailgate for the full ambience.

A trash bag and an empty Natty Light 30 pack box can serve as a cooler. Free ice at the hotel. NE subs and pizza are some of the best in the country. You're guaranteed to pass a town with a house of pizza on the drive to the game.

You need a credit card with airline miles. I use American Express. 37,000 miles and counting that I can never use.

I’m coming up for one this year too but it can’t be for the home opener unfortunately. Have a blast.

@UFGatorPat are you going to be in Orlando for the UF/Miami opener?

Most likely no. All energy and funding going toward this game. Although if someone drops me a ticket, sure. You going?

I gave up my season tickets 3 years ago. We still get to at least 1 home game.

Much nicer than the swamp.

Yeah I’m heading over there. I hope it’s a massacre.

The stadium itself? Sure. It's newer by several decades. Although there's nothing about Gillette that makes it special or different, other than the Super Bowl banners.

As far as total game day experience? The Swamp/Gainesville blows away Gillette/Foxboro.

If I can be nosy, what was the cost per ticket? I gave up my season tickets this
year due to old age (87) and my son did not know if he would be available. He
found out recently he could make the first game. The only price I saw was $500
per ticket for the first game.

The tailgate and atmosphere inside the Swamp **** all over Gillette. But that’s the case with many college games. They’re just more rowdy. What I hate about BHGS is how close you **** to the person next to you. Especially if the temperature inside the bowl is over 100 degrees.

The product you get at Gillette is far superior.

Many of the players coming from the south. I’d highly recommend going to either an SEC or Big 10 game. The atmosphere at those games is superior to any professional game. It’s actually not even remotely close.
