The draft

Why? We’ve got Cannon, Wynn, Andrews, Karras and mason. That’s a solid core

Cannon's oft-injured, and he's going to be 31+ when the season starts. For the Patriots, that could be reason enough.

Cannon is 30, so I could see Bill go OT. He and Dante were working out Chris Lindstrom.

I like him to be the heir to TB12

He has some work to do, particularly on the way he turns his hips when he throws to get more velocity, but there’s certainly workable talent there.

They’ve brought in almost every RT candidate available at the bottom of the first or first half of the second. Don’t be surprised if they go RT at 32. And @Deus Irae is right about the reason why.

does anyone else think that bill will trade the 32nd pick and wait until the 2nd round? I wouldn’t be surprised. For some reason, he does not like to trade up. I think we need a deep threat receiver like the desert needs the rain. Also bill should seriously consider on drafting a qb after passing on it last year. I highly doubt Danny Etling is the succession plan.
Yes, BB will trade down for sure, if for no other reason than he knows that I have been sitting there all night watching the rest of the first round and that buffoon Roger Goodell with baited breath wondering/anticipating/ready to jump up and down to hear and see the words, "with the 32nd pick, the Patriots select.....!!!!!" (and it will flash across the bottom of the screen "the Patriots have traded the 32nd pick to [fill in loser team] for a 3rd rounder and a ham sandwich next year).

Truth. This has happened to me more than once...

Top QB prospects

1. Kyler Murray
2. Drew lock
3. Dwayne Haskins
4. Daniel Jones
5. Jarrett stidham
6. Eason stick
7. Ryan Finley
I like Grier way more than your bottom 3. He's a warrior and a winner. Lock is my favorite though. I like Jones more than Grier, but Jones never really dominated like Lock and Grier did, though he was great in his last game.

By the time the Patriots pick, Murray, Lock, Haskins, and Jones will be long gone...

They could certainly use another tackle. Only two now, and one of those untested and coming off a pretty serious injury.

Odds are that you are right about this. For a draft that is supposed to be QB weak, there will be as many QBs going in the 1st round as last year. There are rumors (I know, rumors) that the Giants will take Jones 6th. There are other rumors that the Giants are the frontrunners for Rosen. So it seems, though you can't believe rumors, one thing you most likely can believe is that the Giants will land Eli's replacement this year through the draft or trade.

No draft will be as QB weak as 2013 was.

All will be gone by 17-20 imo. Actually hoping Finley/Grier sneak in too on the thinking we arent in love w any & it'll push down some players.

There might be a run on QBs late in the round, so you may get your wish.

I'm sure everyone has seen Fant but in the off chance you haven't check out so e highlights (feel like Im the only draftnik who hates mocks & loves highlights lol. I literally watched every game available, some all22 that I can get my hands on & dvr but I still love highlights. Might see something not available & you see the player at his peak)
Fant had Nate Stanley throwing him the rock. I loved Stanley but gods he was bad & didnt progress at all. Bc of that Fant was obviously limited in what he could do. Constantly seeing the passes going into the dirt or away from him.
People will bring up his blocking but hes not bad at all. In fact there really isn't bad tape/games in that respect. He could improve but he's not bad. Was listening to Kittle the other day talk about how strong he was in the weight room. Potential is there but hes so good in the field. Too fast, too big & young. He'll be a 21 yo rookie.

I have the idea of trading up but anything after 20 I'm good w.

Again we're talking about someone very underutilized. Can run any route. I was always impressed w his ability to create space in-route w cuts/planting his feet. Speed is legit, real 4.5 at 250 & again only 21. Fantastic prospect.

Check out some of his physicality as well.
