OT: Tiger Woods wins the Masters

Basketball, soccer, and baseball? What? Have you ever played lacrosse?

Lacrosse? In gym class. Never any interest otherwise. Was busy with the other sports.

I played right end in the old single wing offense in football and crease attack in lacrosse. Lacrosse is more difficult and I came out of lacrosse games more beat up.

I played other sports (baseball, football, basketball growing up in my very young days and football, basketball, and lacrosse in high school) and lacrosse was just as demanding as either football or basketball and a lot more demanding than baseball. There’s a ton of running involved, it’s physical, and requires insane hand/eye coordination. That was a rhetorical question, though. I could tell you didn’t play it by how you were talking about it.

OT to the OT thread drift - does anyone else who has played hockey and football agree that the hits in hockey are worse?

Meh, I came out of football games more beat up but I played TE and DE in South Florida against some damn good schools that have churned out pro prospects (Pahokee, Glades Central, Aquinas, etc). Broken ribs and several concussions. I see what you’re saying about lacrosse though. You get the hell beaten out of you playing that.

Never played hockey competitively but I’d imagine they hurt much more because you’re falling on rock solid ice.

To each their own.

In my experience, lacrosse was the sport for people who were "active" but couldn't hang in the "real" sports.

They would also likely play hackysack n whatever that extreme frisbee thing is.

Maybe in some areas lacrosse is considered something else.

All that's important is you had fun I suppose.

Without a doubt, in addition to the unforgiving surface and the speed factor that's obvious to the most casual of observers what's lost on the folks that never played it is there's no out of bounds in hockey.

Yup. Unforgiving boards and the ability to skate at speeds faster than one can run. And ice is harder than turf.

i will say football has a more dangerous mass of humanity though.

Never played ice hockey, but that's a tough question.

Football definitely has more hits, and more hard hits more often.

Hockey may have the potential for the most extreme hits though. Given the speed, skates, boards n so on.

However certain football plays can actually have two guys purposely going full speed into one another. With the ability to adjust their bodies for the ideal hit much easier than someone on skates.

Either way, both have extreme hits that can be sickening.

The right end in a single wing is the TE.

I played for the Boston Lacrosse Club. We played Syracuse, U Mass, UNC, John Hopkins, etc. No "meh" about it. I came out of lacrosse games beat to sh*t.

I see Tiger is not getting swung at with a nine iron anymore, what a shame.

Because it does not connote the same level of athleticism as football, basketball, hockey, tennis, and even baseball. Golf is better described as a recreation, competition, or activity.

Dude! You're indirectly crapping all over my ping pong second place ribbon.

Tiger winning the national lacrosse championship was both exciting and unexpected.

You have all this equipment on (shoulder pads, knee pads, elbow pads, etc) so it's not as bad as it looks. If you get hit hard into the boards in an awkward manner or get whacked on the calfs (no equipment there), on the other hand, it's going to hurt.

All he is is liar. This peace of trash might as well go jerk himself while diving over a cliff. Seriously **** this jerk

Sounds like you’ll be passed out before Thrones starts…

My uncle moved to South Florida to coach football, he's in the schools hall of fame, definitely more competitive with some real good athletes down there.
