OT: Tiger Woods wins the Masters

That was as exciting as the local darts tournament I watched on Friday!

Great. You don't have an appreciation for golf and what Tiger accomplished. Carry on.

Are you saying lacrosse is not demanding?

Not on the level of say: football, soccer, wrestling, tennis, swimming, basketball, baseball...

Just my opinion though. Sounds like you disagree. Which is cool.

I always thought of lacrosse as the sport people played who weren't any good at the other sports. So they created their own thing to feel special.

Also it's like a school gym class game. Like dodgeball.

I am one of those who puts golf in a category with Nascar, basketball, chess, and fencing. Sure, it takes talent and skill to achieve at these activities, but I would rather sit for an hour or two watching pus ooze from a popped zit than watch any of these.

Because I have not lived in a cave, I recognize that Tiger Woods is the Gary Kasparov of chess, the Fats Somethingorother of billiards, or the Iceman of Top Gun naval jet flying. But I always hoped to read about him losing because he comes across as an insufferable, pretentious douche bag.

The sex stuff did make him interesting for a while though.

screw tiger the ahole

I imagine most people who don't consider golf a sport also don't consider NASCAR a sport.

I'll consider NASCAR a sport when one of the cars develops a soul.

As a youngster I played goal in hockey and lacrosse, safety and RB in football, catcher in baseball and boxed. Outside of boxing I took more of a beating playing lacrosse than I did in the others. Granted goal is a bit more punishing but lacrosse is a far cry from tennis or swimming.

I used to be a huge fan prior to him being revealed as a total scumbag, so it's bittersweet seeing him win a major again.

Are we only factoring in violence?

Why does calling golf a sport bother some people? What's the big deal?

Because it does not connote the same level of athleticism as football, basketball, hockey, tennis, and even baseball. Golf is better described as a recreation, competition, or activity.

Basketball, soccer, and baseball? What? Have you ever played lacrosse?

I played varsity tennis. Chumps
