Pats 2019 offseason in full force I hope our Draft doesn't suck.

Kraft gets a hand job, Gronk retires and Schiano quits the walls come tumbling down.. otoh maybe not.

The stars are not aligned here, but the Master of the NFL universe, BB, will in his mastery make the necessary adjustments...

AFC still mostly a mess. Hopefully we are not joining them.

I think he probably did pull an Al Haig, BB sat him down, *****ed him out and he bolted. That's my story and I'm sticking with it (mainly because we'll never know).

Interestingly enough, both sides of the ball seem to be suffering from polar opposite types of turmoil. The offense is keeping it's most important coaching pieces (including Brady, who coaches on the field), but losing it's LT and several weapons. The defense is primarily bringing back the same players (swapping Flowers for Bennett), but is seeing an unprecedented coaching turnover.

Neither of these things are insurmountable (it's only March), but it's interesting to me nonetheless.

Agree. Can't take someone who looks like a shaggy homeless person seriously...

I don't know what you're talking about.

Right. We don't know but those two have known each other for a long time and I'm pretty sure BB & Schiano both knew each other's MO.

I really do think its a personal issue with Schiano. Those two are tight. No way he would leave BB in the lurch like this. Schiano would suck it up for a year, then move on.

I am quite thrilled he is gone. Just not the right personality. Quite a hard ass without too much stuff to back it up. Too many Rutgers guys on this team, all of them long tenured veterans, their experience and knowledge in the NFL would be greater than Schiano's. Plus, all the Rugers boys are now Steve Belichick's boys now. It would have been awkward between their yesteryear teacher Schiano and all the Rutger's boys, if they feel they are more up to speed than their master. Bennett did not like him either, having been coached by him in Tampa Bay.

Schiano is a putz and everyone should be glad he's gone.

That's kind of all there is to say IMO.

Best thing to ever involve Schiano is this 44 Greg Schianos meet their doom

I'm not too concerned about Shiano, we've got the greatest defensive mind of our generation that's the head coach, so I think we'll be all right.

Like you said, it's March.

I’m 99.9% sure it wouldn’t happen due to philosophical differences, but I would not mind the hire. Rex has never coached a team that had a competent offense. No matter how good your defense is, they will eventually crack if they don’t have a supporting offense. Give him an offense that can score points and he’ll make QB’s make dumb decisions.

Rex has never improved a defense (statistical ranking) as a head coach. Yes, he has moments of creativity and it can be argued that he's a better than average defensive coordinator. But for my money, he does a lot of talking that isn't backed up in the field of play. Taking the Jets from a top-ranked defense to below average? Taking the Bills from one of the top defenses in the NFL to mediocrity? His reputation is overblown.

He wants to spend more time with his faith and family?

How many days until pics are release of him and Kraft leaving a massage parlor?

Yes he did.

2008 Jets D vs 2009 Jets D.
