“Now that we know how it all turned out, it’s interesting to remember that on the Monday night of Week 11, the Rams won that epic 54-51 shootout against the Chiefs in the Los Angeles Coliseum, in the first game in NFL history in which both teams topped 50 points. It was rightly hailed as the game of the year in the league and sparked conversation far and wide about the new offensive juggernauts in L.A. and Kansas City, who were led by young, talented quarterbacks in Jared Goff and Patrick Mahomes.

Both teams looked unstoppable coming out of that game, which was played three days before Thanksgiving.

But skip ahead two-plus months and in the final two games of the NFL season, one team stopped them both...”

Post-Super Bowl Snap Judgments

Who decided that 54-51 game was "the game of the year"? It was sloppy as ****. The defenses were both either pissing all over themselves or taking advantage of the offense briefly pissing all over itself.

Game of the year, huh. I was thanking god I missed it because it sounded awful.

After listening to KVN talk this week, it's aparant he is one of the leaders of the team. So glad to have him, a true Patriot.

Just sayin..

He has that attitude people have been asking for on our defense since the days of Bruschi, Harrison, etc

I can commiserate a little with your following. I followed the Pats from day one when they were the laughingstock of the league. Who could imagine certainly not me that I would see a run like this in my lifetime.

I remember the Cowboys "America's Team", Steelers "The Steel Curtain" and many others never dreamed the Patriots would surpass them all in my mind. The experts will always have their own say as to the Patriots place, but I believe it is #1 for the moment.

The whole point though is you never know what may happen with Jacksonville in the future. I just hope it isn't too soon I'd like to see the Patriots add a couple more. I know it is selfish, but what can I say.:)

I liked his comment that he used to play checkers and is now playing chess.

The NFL channel live morning show was gushing about how the new NFL was for young people who want all offense and little defense, the day after that game. All.kinds of absurd comments about the old ways being dead and that they wanted all games to be like that one.
One goofball said that this game was going to be millenials new ice bowl game where everybody remembers where they were when they watched it.

Seriously.

Jesus if had been watching I would have changed the channel.

13-3 with an epic defensive performance and almost 160 yards on the ground...

I was in my glory.

To me, thats football.

The same people that found the Super Bowl boring.

I think I started three threads the next day about how we’ve entered new territory of NFL ****tiness. I also noted that, like Monster Energy drink addicted teenagers, NFL fans are now impatient and expect a fluorescent light show or they’ll tune out. Hence the negative national review of the SB.
