Things going 'south' in Mangina'ville

I honestly do wonder what the final score will be when they come to Foxboro.

Knowing that Bill Belichick is a student, fan and historian of the game of pro football, my hope is he picks THAT day to go after the most hallowed of all the records in the books:

The all-time largest margin of victory in a single game, currently held by the Chicago bears who spanked the Washington Redskins, 73-0, in the 1940 Championship Game.

Picture this:

Patriots 77, Jets 3

Mangini will that "indigestion" look he gets when things are going bad!

Was this kid just not ready to take over an NFL head coaching job or what?

I think BB did a respectible job while in Cleveland. He turned the time from a 4-12 (?) record to a 11-5 record and won a playoff game. I never understand why he is criticized for his Cleveland stint. At least on paper he was pretty good. I do admit I did not watch the Browns closely when he was the coach but i did watch the game he beat us in and they were pretty good

It's because he got rid of Kosar. That was one of the dumbest personnel moves of all time. Kosar went on to become one of the best....errr. Um. Yeah.

Let's not forget this one from last week's ProFootball Weekly:

Mangini has to learn that being a hard ass can work when you are winning, but players will turn on you when things are going bad especially when they feel that part of the reason is because of your coaching style and inflexibility.

And the Pats played 4-3 a significant portion of the time vs. Cincy. I can't help but look at that and think that Belichick is an innovator, while Mangini is an imitator. If that's true, how did NY go so long without figuring out that he's essentially a fraud? Maybe his coordinators have been able to mask that, until recently.

I think he becomes the next head coach of the Chargers.

Do you htink that Spanos will fire AJ Smith, clean house and

Bill Parcells will take the San Diego Job?

Will he take the Giants job?

How about the Jets job?

I'm brining my video camera to capture all the highlights. I think every season ticket holder should. They can't confiscate them all!

Overall it sounds like BB's first experience in Cleveland - except no one's ever going to give ManJudas another chance knowing that he'll stab them in the back the first opportunity he has.

Belichick did fine in Cleveland, he took a 3-13 team to the playoffs a few years later. But he's not the same coach now, he learned from his mistakes and he's reached his potential. We'll see if Mangini can do the same thing.

Maybe Mangina already HAS reached his potential.

Krafty Bob could appraise BB up close as a coordinator.
Peering thru BB's p-r ineptitude, this talent scout could discern the genius.

When some other owner
peers thru RatMan's facade
... will he find anything worth having?
