Just caught my breath enough to look at the box score. Chiefs scored 24 points in the fourth,Patriots 14. And of course six in the fifth quarter. Crazy.
Mahomes completed just 12 passes in the 2nd half, yet they allowed 31 points!

Really, the defense was just a few plays & questionable calls from a historic performance vs. the 3rd highest scoring offense of all time. The Watkins bomb with about 7 seconds to throw the ball, the missed OPI, some questionable flags on Jackson, etc.

Still trying to figure out how KC scored 31 with Hill/Kelce having just 4 receptions. That offense really is something else.

People complaining about this fail to care about the fact Edelman was interfered with - and they didn't call it. The roughing the passer call made up for that.

Mahomes was 16-31, their rushing attack gained 41 yards and they still scored 31. KCs big play ability is scary. Usually I'd say allowing 31 is not good D, especially 24 in the 4th, but I don't think I can really blame the D.

With those numbers: 31 points with just 12 completions and 41 rushing yards - you have to blame the defense a little bit, at the very least.

Shades of SB51...
In today's game NE had 94 plays to KC's 47. And like SB51 the opposing defense was gassed at the end and couldn't stop the NE offense. But geez Reid -- take a TO and at least give your defense a chance to catch its breath.

I'm glad they recovered from those 2 inexcusable throws to Patterson in OT.

And I'm glad Burkhead redeeemed himself on that last drive, since he wasn't very good (outside of 1 drive) prior to that.
I'd absolutely love to hear the 2 people disagreeing with this tell me why targetting Patterson twice in OT was a good idea - or that Burkhead did well outside of those 2 late drives. They ultimately won and it doesn't matter, but there's no denying any of this.

Oh you know it! There were sooo many people ready to hit send on text and blow my phone up, but oh no....didn’t happen, lol!!

Hah! Same here.

Had only one obnoxious guy txt me before the game 'Go Chiefs'. I never check my phone during the game and once it ended, txted back ' Got kerChief bro?'.

I am feeing as happy as I am after the last SB win.

Here's wishing Brady, BB and the Pats do more magic in the SB.

GO PATS!!

I'm holding them accountable for bad plays. But I'm not going to blame the D in the sense that they played a bad game like in SB LII.

I booked a hotel rooms in Atlanta a year ahead (0nly way to get a chance for a decent rate). Right now there are 5-6 of us who are going to cram into that room. I have no idea if we will be able to get t ickets, but at the very least we will be in town if they win #6. Go Pats!
