The Pats are playing the Chiefs, which means Patient + Sudden Michel ma Bell Cow is heading to Arrowhead, where Priest Holmes played.

In Fantasy Football, I got my hands on Priest as often as possible a little more than a decade back. I also picked up Trung Candidate once, with the witticism in our trash-talk board, "None of you are safe until the last Priest is strangled with the guts of the last Candidate." But I digress.

Here's my bet: I bet one zillion quadloons that in that setting, if Michel has a decent day, they start making comparisons to Priest Holmes. "The same vision... the same patience... the same burst..." that sort of thing.

You read it here first! Except you probably read it on another thread in here at some time or another before that. But me soo betcha betcha they say it, as Jar Jar Binks would say.

That is all.

They laughed at Einstein
They laughed at Galileo
Of course they also laughed at Bozo the Clown

YOU WAIT MOTHRAFROCKER

They're gonna say it at some point in this game, if he's having a decent day

It's a safer bet than them saying it about Hunt...
(too soon?)

-- Mike Hunt is running and running... Mike Hunt is just enveloping big chunks of the field.... look at Mike Hunt GO, the only way you stop Mike Hunt is when there's no room left, Mike Hunt SCORES, how about that, Mike Hunt finally runs out of room...

-- And you don't see that happen very often

-- No you don't... and right now Mike Hunt is so young to be so huge... just imagine when Mike Hunt is a few years older...

10 million quadloons on the newcomer.

The bet is that Hunt's first name is discovered to have originally been "Mike."

Hey-ooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Fine, you entertain me.

Whats the end game for the OP?
Be right and receive adulation from anonymous basement dwellers?
??

It would be great if someone could sync up footage to show, side by side with these, the JETE' and Dolts' sidelines while those plays were being executed.

Well, whenever I hear Priest Holmes I think of the Irish singer, Hozier, who has that song, Take Me to the Church, which makes me think of the Church Lady, Dana Carvey, from SNL who was good pals with the late George H.W. Bush who recently passed away last November as did the excellent playwright and novelist, William Goldman, who wrote, The Princess Bride, with that funny scene where the character, Vizini, keeps saying, “inconceivable,” until Inigo Montoya tells him, “I do not think it means what you think it means,” and that makes me think of Priest Holmes being mentioned as a comparison to Sony Michel which reminds me that it’s 10 minutes until Judge Wapner.

I especially appreciated the stealth Rain Man reference.

Fantasy football is that old? Damn!

"He's the greatest dot com!"

And in that commercial, if I remember correctly, it was before they could make a joke about "He's hashtag the greatest"

LOL just dropped in to piss in my Wheaties huh

eh well. You are right. Absolutely. I have a premonition that this comparison will be made. I expect you to react with amazement bordering on fear and trembling at my predictive powers if broadcasters in any way say "You know who else had that patience that they might remember around here was Priest Holmes" or any part thereof.

I expect somebody in the GDT to pull up this thread and link to it you mean-spirited bastuch.

Then you shall know that I am the exalted Most High poster, and there shall be great rejoicing.

Andy Reid responded with astonishment at the revelation that the actual name of the disgraced running back was Mike.

"I was surprised as anyone to even have to say "Mike Hunt." But right now I want to talk about the Patriots, not Mike Hunt... Yes, you in the back? Do we miss him in the passing game? Well Mike Hunt was always open. I mean sometimes remarkably open..."

Glad to see some intellectual levity from PatsfaninVa. who was always good at making me think early in the morning as later in the day my brain is a little less lucid.. which reminds me of the Battle of New Orleans song , "We fired our guns and the British kep a-comin'
There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago".. kind of how my brain works..

"Mike Hunt", if you say it quickly may cause issues with the distaff segment of the population.. How many hours until kick off?? I am at 36 hours and 22 minutes until kick off... tick, tock, tick, tock..
