Bill will have to get creative with him. We play press coverage 2nd most among defenses and hill normally thrives in this situation because he can simply outrun his man. Hill will need to be doubled at all times and have a safety over the middle shadowing him. It’s not a bad idea to jam hill at the line also and get physical. He is very capable of burning us.

Definitely jam him on the line and smack him in the face ...
I think Belichick is going to copy the Super Bowl plan against the Rams in 2001 ...
Smack the sh!t out of them and see how willing they are to smack back.

That also includes some safety and CB blitzes to hit Mahomes.
We did more of that in the 2000's but got away from it a bit.
This game will be perfect for it - Mahomes scrambles to well to simply cover them.

The Patriots were physical vs the Chargers ... they will go up one level and hit even harder.
This will be old school football against them - on both sides of the ball on our part.

It’s important that we cover Hill with his own thread. We should probably devote on more thread over the top of this one, too.

Obviously it's a team game, but KC has a huge advantage with their athleticism at their key skill positions.

Let's put it this way......

Patrick Mahomes is having an MVP season and has outplayed Brady this year.

Travis Kelce is far more effective than Gronk is this year.

I love Edelman, but there is no denying that Hill is far more athletic (and probably drops the ball less, too).

From an X's and O's perspective (not including clock management), Bill still reigns over Andy Reid, but let's not pretend that Reid isn't in the upper echelon of coaches.

So in the past when thinking about the Pats' prospects of winning, I have always felt good because of Brady/Belichick/Gronk/Edelman

But here it is we have to face KC in their place, and they have a formidable foursome of....

Mahomes/Reid/Kelce/Hill

It boils down to experience vs athleticism. I really hope the stage becomes too big for Mahomes, counting on him to make a mistake or two will be critical for any chance of victory.

I have all the respect in the world for Hill but it's worth pointing out that he had 8 games with 70 yards receiving or less and in those 8 games he had 1 receiving TD. Five of those games were at home. He had 653 yards, 4 TD at home and 826 yards, 8 TD on the road.

Again I'm not trying to talk him down but he's not an unstoppable force. Just a very, very explosive one.

I don't think we should waste anymore time underestimating the importance of beginning to think about of starting to worry about Tyreek Hill.

Tyreek Hill had a 1500 yard season. It was his best and first Pro Bowl as a WR. Mahomes is just great at spreading the ball around to various receivers and KC is lucky to not have any Antonio Brown-like divas on the roster

Hill is capable of taking the occasional sweep for a big gain too.

He throws to two guys.

Hill is a force and this offense has more than just him but I think we got the horses in the secondary to match up. Gilly and JC are playing CB as good as any, Chung is good in the box and vs TEs, and McCourty and Harmon are good on the deep halves to help with the speed.

Mahomes, Hill, Kelce. Best thing since the Rams' Greatest Show on Turf.

The Pats have no chance. ;)

I feel like Bill has concentrated on Kelce the last 2 times we played this receiving group. I think Hill will be the focus this time.

I heard Tyreek Hill is pretty quick

If we eliminate the big play, can KC drive down the field in 9+ play drives? (the way we most often score). Have they shown the ability to do so?

Inshallah we will be 4-5 on the road after Sunday ,,,,Hill or no Hill.
And before I forget Fu#k Rob Parker.

We really focused on Their TE the first game. We played guys as fast as Hill before and we have slowed them down. Hopefully we employ the same concepts or take a page out of other defenses that did well against him this year.
