Wildcard Game Thread: Eagles @ Bears

60 minutes to win the game and they have to rely on a so-so kicker ... team loss.

Evenly played games often come down to a kicker. They got him well in range. Maybe not replacing him earlier in the season was the mistake.

This is why games should never, ever come down to a damn kicker, but ohhh well, that's Football.

I think they screwed themselves even more with the stupid playcall on third down. All you really need there are a few yards from a safe pass. I don’t understand why teams always seem to feel comfortable with FG attempts over 40 yards.

Yeah but there’s no guarantee whoever catches it gets out of bounds. Would have been high risk play and gotta stop the clock afterwards.

You play to advance as far as possible. Don’t think for one second BB wouldn’t have chosen the easier opponent
Disagree. Chicago has a new coach in process of building a winning program, you don't get there throwing games in the "hope" you get an easier playoff opponent. You play to win all the time and Chicago absolutely should've won tonight -- it's not like the Eagles out-classed them.

Matt Naggy looks like a douche with his "omgaaawd" face on the sideline

I ****ing called it. I told a you guys this Eagles team was the N.Y. Giants 2.0. Here we go again with another back to back super bowl run with a fluky team.

The Saints will underestimate the Eagles just like they did against the Cowboys, and lose.

God, I hate these type of teams.

It's carved in stone. It's just meant to be

Saints, do everyone a favor and win.

If the boys beat the rams and the eagles get lucky again, the NFC title game is in Dallas against the eagles.

Good god...

Doink.

Well, it was entertaining.

It's an urban legend that Belichick told Cassel to miss the 2 pointer against the Dolphins in 2005 as a loss got them Jacksonville instead on Pittsburgh.
