Found this interesting:

home:

8-0 record
points scored: 263 (32.9 per game)
points allowed: 133 (16.6 per game)
yards per game: 430.6
yards allowed per game: 319.4

road:

3-5 record
points scored: 173 (21.6 per game)
points allowed: 192 (24 per game)
yards per game: 356.3
yards allowed per game: 398.8

This is pretty insane. Is this the most bi-polar Patriots team of all time?

Pretty much. All-around craptastic in DET, JAX, TEN, MIA. I think the offense missed the plane to PIT.

The home schedule was tougher too.
If you remove the Detroit and Tennessee games it’s
4-2
Points scored 153 (25.5)
Points allowed 132 (20.2)
Yards 393
Yards allowed 398

So it’s largely 2 terrible games and a pretty normal road performance in the other 6.

In 09 we lost 6 all on the road including the regular season finale. Its nothing we haven't seen before. As long as we do better at home in the playoffs than we did in 09 we'll be fine

That game was over in the first quarter, down 24-0 and fir t play from scrimmage was Ray Rice beating us for 83 yards.... Flacco was 4-10 34 yards but what killed Pats was defense allowing 10-16 on third downs and 4 turnovers ( 3 Brady ints and a lost fumble- neg 2 differential)
Weird part was that the Ravens ran 54 times for 234 yards. Take out Rice's long run and it's 53- 151 or less than 3 ypc (2.85) allowed which is pretty good... and should win you the game...

In week-2 (20-31 @JAX), week-3 (10-26 @DET) and week-10 (10-34 @TEN), the offense had significant personnel absences. On defense, Flowers was OUT for most of week-2 and all of week-3 (concussion). Chung was also OUT for the second half of week-2 and all of week-3 (also concussion).

Agree. However, Rice beat free-lancing Meriweather for that first score.

On offense, the Pats were without Welker and Moss was playing hurt - against a very good Ravens defense.

The losses to DET, TEN, & PIT all featured former Pats which I believe played a factor in each loss

I will never forget that game. I got crazy lucky and got the best seats I've ever sat in, 50 yard line, second row behind the Ravens sideline. First play, RR TD up our sideline, and somehow went downhill from there. By the 3rd quarter, my seatmate was being removed by security for passing out and I was sitting there numb to all feelings.

Ironically, best game I've ever been to was Billy Cundiff shanking that FG for the Ravens, and I was sitting 300 corner, concrete against my back, and open air to my right. Worst seats in the house and I've never had more fun.

It’s been a bizzare season. You know things are out of hand when you are getting cleaveland receivers who have been doping.
