Anyone want to coach the Bengals?

I'll take their money.

You’d think it would be desirable, if for no other reason than job security. Even if you don’t win a single playoff game, they might keep you for 15+ years.

Don’t blame anyone for not wanting that job. A terrible, terrible, cheap owner and an undermanned scouting staff. A QB who is just good enough to sniff the postseason but will always blow it. AJ green is aging and the defense is bad. Also it’s Ohio.

Josh McDaniels would be a good fit there. Just my opinion.

Michael Lombardi thinks it's a great job because you report directly to the owner.

I heard the same thing on his Podcast, he was touting it as a much better job than the Packer job. He claimed that this particular owner is no longer cheap like he was in the old days, and the fact that he kept Marvin Lewis there for so long shows the owner doesn't fire a coach at the drop of a hat.

.....I wonder if Lombardi wants to get back into the game in Cincy?

Mike is 83 now and has his son Paul running the show. Hes not as cheap as his father but he knows nothing abou tfootball btu still shops for the groceries.

No way Josh would enjoy that stop.

I saw separately that Josh has refused to interview with Cincy, so it looks like you are right.

Yea Josh either wanted to show commitment to the packers, not go on a world tour and make sure he had time to prep for the div game or had zero interest in Cinci.

I want a 4 year deal with a competitive level salary and no morals clauses of any kind. Give me that, and I'll coach any team in the league.

I believe Lombardi said Brown being cheap was a misconception, and that he simply doesn't believe in wasting money.

Hah! Deus has finally been outed as Josh McDaniels in disguise! Clearly he has been thinking about his contract demands.

I would be happy to negotiate your compensation package for a reasonable 10% fee or so. ;)
