If Brown didn’t have issues there wouldn’t even be talk of a trade. Let’s face it, any elite player that ends up on the trade block for cheap will have some issues. Given that, if you are going to trade for anybody it might as well be AB. He’s as elite as they come.

True. There is no tier above him. I’d want AB instead of oh hell beckham

His Cap Hit is reasonable for a player of his quality...

Would i want him here? Yes

Do i think he will end up here?

Highly Doubtful

The salary cap is also shooting up $10-$14 million next year. 2019 NFL salary cap projected between $187-$191.1 million

I'd take him. I would love for Brady to have a target like him to throw to to end his career. Not that it's going to happen though. Pittsburgh would probably rather pay him to sit on the bench than trade him to the Pats.

Love the player. Hate the cap number. Don't value the position to that kind of degree.

It's as simple as that. AB is as impactful as WR as there is in the game. But NO WR is worth that kind of cap impact. They just aren't. Julio Jones and AJ Green pop immediately to mind as GREAT WR's whose teams didn't sniff the playoffs this season. The Steelers had as good a WR group as there was in the league, plus a good QB....and where will THEY be next week?

I could even deal with all the off field crap he represents, just not roughly a 20MM cap hit for a WR. Good WR's are just too available for a quarter of that sum. That being said, I'd do $10MM for AB, but that isn't happening in any reality I can think of. Not with so many teams with over 100MM in cap space to offer him top dollar.

As much as I'd love the Pats to improve their WR talent next year, this would NOT be the way to do that within the concept of the rest of team building process

I've watched it 19 times.:p

I just envision Stone Cold strutting out flipping the Undertaker, Triple H and McMahan the bird.

That's the bottom line cuz BB said so

It's like, banging a really high end escort w/o a condom. You know it's a bad choice, you know you'll regret it but maaaaan in the moment it sure is fun.

I've heard. From friends. Friends I pray for. You don't know them, they're from another message board. In Canada.

Came here for the Ray Lewis option and left disappointed.
I guess if I'm being serious, I'd take that guy on the Patriots as long as it's not a huge commitment financially, so in reality probably not.

Would it have really killed Bill to give those 2 kids the high-5? I mean c'mon man.

I find it interesting how he cheated on his wife left and right, works long hours but yet his kids followed him into coaching.

People in Weston who knew Debbie Belichick will say she was the nicest person and a fantastic mom.

Maybe he knows being a dooch to people creates a gravitational pull towards him.

He might be right

Yeah idk. The whole infidelity thing really put me off thinking he's a good person.

As with Trey Flowers, I haven't looked at any other teams roster-versus-cap situations in detail. However, just based on raw cap space:

Colts
Jets
Bills
Browns
Raiders
Texans

If the Steelers don't want to trade him in the AFC, then:

Niners
Cards
Seahawks
Packers (maybe)

Below that, and you have to start looking closely at cap space versus players under contract. For example, the Skins have only about $23M in cap space, but they have 57 players under contract for 2019 already. OTOH, the Lions have about $34M in cap space, but only 45 players under contract.

Very cool insight. With jets* having roughly 100mil in cap space, I can see them targeting either AB or L'VB since mediots* already making Darnold next Montana to build around here in NY. Packers too are interesting especially with every excuse AR is underachieving because of no weapons. They also are in need of a HC and will they pursue one that's is geared more to Offense.

I'd take him in a heartbeat. Any player that yells at BB during a game you want. Cant teach fire in the belly
Plus he’s gritty and a hard worker. Very tough, smart player with a high football IQ. Will definitely be willing to get hit down the middle of the field.

He’ll have to grow a big beard too so we can call him the chipmunk. Maybe should make foot puns too.

Would I want Antonio Brown, in a vacuum, by himself? Sure

Would I want Antonio Brown along with his insane salary and diva antics? No
