Julien Edelman 2018 (10 Games)
63 Receptions
711 yards (11.3)
4TDs

In 10 game's this season, Julien Edelman has already had a better regular season than Danny Amendola (+5 games) did last year with Brady:

Danny Amendola 2017 (15 Games)
61 Catches
659 Yards (10.8)
2 TDs

A better regular season than Danny Amendola (+3 games) is having this year:

Danny Amendola 2018 (13 Games)
52 Catches
509 Yards (9.8)
1 TD

And even pretty much a better regular season than Danny's (+4 games) best in his Patriots career (2015)

Danny Amendola 2015 (14 Games)
65 Catches
648 Yards (10.0)
3 TDs

Amendola may be ahead in the hot females category.

Seriously I think our offense would be better if we had both out there.

Getting back to that short quick passing - move the chains offense.

Amendola seems to have more initial off-the-ball quickness than Edelman at this point. And his hands have always been a bit better.

Amendola wasn’t worth the money Miami gave him but the lack of replacement for his skills, other than hoping Edelman was back to himself coming off the ACL and PEDs was a huge miss by Belichick. Brady needs quick separation guys and Edelman has lost a step in that regard

I give Danny credit for coming threw in the playoffs but so did Jules....so yeah Jules is better.

Almendola has struggled in Miami.

Also heard that Solder stinks in NYC.

JE will be 33 next season.

Here 10 years already.

I'm shocked that Edelman is still producing at this level. He was already a sure-fire Patriots Hall of Fame player, and this is just a cherry on top.

Amendola was only a 500-700 yard receiver with the Patriots; it was the clutch plays in crucial situations and the postseason that made him so great here. One of my all-time favorites. At 33, the decision to let him go with the "better a year too early" philosophy was very similar to the timeframe on Welker. Welker played one pretty good season with the Broncos - in that insane 2013 offense - and then was done. It was clear he was slowing down here.

I'd be surprised if either Edelman or Amendola are still playing in 2020, but my money is on Edelman to go a little longer. I think his body strength and physical style (rather than just speed and route running) may give him a slight advantage in being able to produce despite reduced reflexes, whereas Amendola is more of a standard body type receiver who will be cooked when he loses one more step.

Bigger problem is they once had two clutch slot receivers who could get open on a dime and soon they'll have none.

Bigger than the problem than you mentioned: they also once had the greatest tight end of all-time and that's essentially gone too, or will be soon. At best we'll get the Calorie-Free version of Gronk for a couple more years (no, that's not supposed to be a knock at TB12 method...just couldn't think of better adjective).

Well I'm glad that's cleared up.

Both belong in an all time fan favorites list.

JE>>>>>DA.
DA was a fantastic complimentary receiver here who made some damn clutch catches.
JE is more reliable.
Why even do this.

James White can do a lot of the things Amendola can in the short passing game.

Having White/Edelman should be sufficient enough for a short passing game, especially if Gronk takes two defenders with him on top of Gordon providing deep threat.

I don't get why we haven't done the spread offense with the diverse skill players our offense have. Unless they don't really trust Brady to pull it off.

Edelman's dropsies from time to time induces your avatar drinking.

Obligatory spelling bee post.

An amazing guy that will treat you with the most respect and care if you are ever in a dilemma. He has an outgoing personality and is comfortable with people of all ages. A guy named Julien is going to be very attractive resulting in many girls flocking to be by his side. A Julien's personality is very understanding and open. He will tell you his honest opinion and give you the best advice. This person might be one to have an "old soul", but is very open in his love of childish games. If you ever meet one, keep em around.. There is no one like him:)

omg yes I love Julien! he is so sweet and understanding. I have never met such a good-looking kid who's so comfortable and well-mannered around adults. He must have and old soul.

A premier mountain getaway, just an hour east of San Diego, in the beautiful Cuyamaca mountains. Take a step back in time to the days of Julian’s beginning rooted in the 1870’s gold rush. Get away from the hectic rush of city life… discover the charms of Julian.

See where gold was discovered—shop stores housed in historic buildings dating back to the 1870’s—sleep in a romantic B&B or historic hotel—sample Julian’s famous apple pie —hike and picnic amid oaks and pines—ride down Main Street in a horse-drawn carriage. Enjoy!

Hmmm.... maybe Julien should be the correct spelling?

Julian is a pretty cool little town in the sticks. Lots of oak trees, it feels a bit like New England compared to the rest of SoCal. They have some sweet 100+ year old Mack Trucks they have restored. I think they were old mail carriers for the town and mines.

JE is more reliable.
From 2012 to 2016 5 seasons
JE - 64 games Then he missed a whole season(17) then the first 4 games of this season
DA 5 seasons here 69 games.

So DA was more reliable than JE even before JE missed a whole season and then another 1/4 of a season.

Danny's hands were also more reliable than JE's

So not sure what your comment means.
