Just dont get our inability to exploit that secondary. Massive failure offensively. If this was week 2 okay but no excuse to be dropping balls , commmitting back breaking penalties, and Patterson being the only reliable 3rd down target.
Even if so, he was beyond the first down market before he hit the ground.
No one touched him until after he fell behind the marker and he never went down after the contact from the first defensive player until AFTER the marker.
And if you don’t get it, your putting a defensive unit that has been extremely fortunate to hold Pittsburgh to 14 in a tough spot with them taking over on the 40-39 yard line in New England territory. Punting was the right call.
