Gordon: it’s a breeding ground for excellence

The way he is going, is he already out of our price range next year?

I find his comments about his situations always insightful. He is aware of his surroundings and circumstances so you wonder what drove him to his demons.
Could it have just been the support structure in Cleveland? Or did rehab really help him? I hope he enjoys his time with the patriots and live a fulfilling life for his kid going forward.
I will be very happy if this ends well.

Josh Gordon credits his teammates for helping him catch up

Loved seeing this:

Gordon said “You know, it’s a breeding ground for excellence. You can’t do anything but get involved and help become a part of it, really.”
Being a recovering alcoholic & addict myself, I immediately started to root for Josh the day we got him.

I truly pray he finds himself and his self-worth as a human being while he’s with us. I also hope he’s getting some tough love while he’s here

There’s never a clear reason why we addicts self-destruct. Changing locations has never been a way out.

Those of us that do recover, came to a decision at some point. No one gets straight by hanging with different people, moving or getting a new job.

Without exception, we each came to a cross-road and decided we’ve had enough and then got help. The lucky few just made a decision and don’t require help

I mean he's been fine, not exactly blowing things up so I don't think we're there yet. Though if he continues to grow and learn this offense I could see it. Sadly I think he'll be looking for a payday when the time comes, since I doubt he's amassed a major fortune given how his career has gone.

It might work out for us if it ends up coming right around the time Gronk will retire, otherwise I expect to see Gordon try to find one big payday.

Either that or maybe he'll see NE as a place of refuge from the problems that have plagued him which, combined with winning, might make him want to stay at a contract we can work with. That's my pipe dream, anyways.

I think Patriots will offer him a very fair contract where he is protected and the team is protected.
Those talks are always tough because if Josh is truly over his past ways and I feel he is the talk of Josh we are just protecting the team just business cant be easy on these conversations.

In four games, he has almost equaled the production we got from Ocho in 15 games.
From his interview or documentary with Uninterrupted, I suspected the intelligence was there and now he is proving it.
I confused addiction with intelligence with him when he was at the Browns.

Smart people do stupid things and put the themselves in unfortunate situations all the time.

Addiction has little to do with intelligence. His performance and words to date are encouraging. We all hope he conquers his demons and enjoys a long and successful career and life. It is a battle he faces each day.

He's either playing for us on a first round tender of around 5 million, or were getting a first round pick for him. Personally I want him here playing, but regardless its a win win situation for us.
