Two new plays that make NE really hard to stop

Edelman and Gordon are really the difference for this team...adding Gronk and Michel + CP on the list make our offense really really good...

These 2 last games showed clearly that we can compete as always as contenders

If the defense will be able too to play better i think that also this season could be a good one...

We showed some of our arsenal on Thurs nite, and if anything, opposing teams have to be concerned about #12's ability to get the ball to a lot of different receivers.. pity the team that has to think and scheme for all of the options that Brady has available.. + the run game.

The best is yet to come, showed some of it in the Colts game.. but from my comfy barcolounger they still seem somewhat out of sync and not as creative as I would prefer.. stay tuned.

My opinion of CP is pretty much the same as it was 3 weeks ago. He's a neat gadget player, and if you treat the short passing game like an extended handoff he can break some tackles and outrun some guys and be generally useful after the catch. But by all accounts he can't learn a simple college playbook, let alone a complicated option passing offense. So he's extremely limited in what he's capable of, and should only be used in situations where telegraphing that your WR almost certainly won't run a route doesn't hurt you much.

Silver lining: this is what makes an athletic freak like him cheap enough that we could afford him. Also, some teams just won't bother covering him at all, and that's how you get some of the easiest 55 yard touchdowns ever scored.

That's exactly what he is- he's not a route runner. The idea that he was going to replace Amendola as a "one-cut" route runner is the stupidest bull I've read on this forum in some time when everyone on here knows he can't cut on a route to save his life. Breaking ankles in open space is his specialty.

But I think his inability to grasp a playbook is what makes him so unpredictable and I'm starting to really like this kind of "wildcat" wrinkle to our offense.

I am actually 100% sure this is actually in the trick playbook. Nobody prepares for the wildcat when they face the Pats. Expecting it to show up in a key moment this year with CP getting the snap.

I meant "wildcat" in the sense that it was something that nobody saw coming (and which, unfortunately, was first unveiled against us).

But I do agree that we'll see CP get a direct snap, one of these days.
