Burkhead AND Bentley put on IR

Rex with his final tap out. Pats move on from him this offseason.

Good player but him being fragile is an understatement.
The can move on from him. Only will be $3m in dead money next year in 2019 and 2020.

I want one more Super Bowl well actually 2, I always wanted us to surpass the Steelers (6), but hopefully we'll be able to tie em atleast, that really bothers me.
Exhibit A on how spoiled we've become. I want 6, preferably 7, but 6 will do!

Seriously, we're a few plays from having 8...and a few plays from having just 1. And considering how poorly McNabb played in that 1, zero isn't far fetched, either.

If bragging rights drives your desire and "it bothers you" if you don't get that, I dont know what to say.

Regards,
Chris

Burkhead, I am not surprised.

Bentley...just shoot me.

Here's a look at our depth:

RB: Michel and White basically...

WR: Hogan, Dorsett, and Patterson.....that's it...

LB: Slow Hightower, KVN, and Elandon Roberts.....that's it pretty much...

Not good...

Love the kid, but he is 33... not sure how much he has left in the tank considering he’s retired. Vereen is available too; he was IRed by the Saints but released with an injury settlement. Webb could be promoted; Darkwa is around.

LB, I’ve got nothing.

we could do a guest star running back of the week, and just rotate guys in off the street. This week woodhead, next week jonas grey, the week after Lawfirm.

The cap what it is, and the lack of available talent, I don't see many better options out there.

as for the defense. i was kidding why i said eldemen should go back to playing defense, mister universe, knock it off.

This is by far the worst year for Pats injuries. They literally don’t have any depth at almost every position.

Or maybe they move an olb to ilb. Running out of duct tape.
Last week we uncharacterically had over 3 snaps per play from LBs. Based upon oreviius seasons you could remove a lb from every play and the snaps would basically be what they were.
So thinking a de/olb like rivers or Simon can be implemented isn’t a stretch at all.

I believe they are working in different looks, different personell and using plates in different roles right now to develop what they want to do in November December and the post season.
The defense, in every way, is a work in progress.

Where’s Andy to tell us that we’re dumb to be worried.
Right here.
Don’t think I ever said anyone was dumb to be worried but the overreaction and lack of learning from the past is comical.

Monty Beisel coming back to replace Bentley?

James Harrison?

James Harrison?
We’re at the point where that’s not a ridiculous suggestion. He played well for us last year, maybe he has a bit more left in the tank.

The injuries are getting so bad on the Patriots, I think anyone of us on this board could at least get a tryout with them.

Someone call James Harrison, ASAP.

This is getting ugly.

Is Monty Biesel available?

Edit: d%#*!@t, someone else got there before me!

A few things.
1) Davis is currently suspended
2) He's on the Panthers.

How does that make him a longshot?
Longshot would seem to be an understatement. Surprised to see a Panther suspended, thought they were at the pinnacle of integrity.
