This is a different offense with Gronk, Edelman and Gordon all in the lineup. Even though he's 41 Brady is still Brady but the only problem is that you cant run the offense when defenses double cover your best option and theyre playing man coverage and the guys you have can't get open. there is no quarterback who could overcome that not even Joe Montana. We should not expect a huge improvement on defense but having Flowers, Chung and Rowe back will stop the bleeding. We were able to get some pass rush in the Houston game. This season will either be like 2002 or be like 2014 and 2016. I cant tell the future but I have total confidence we can turn this around.

Werent you the poster last night on the GDT blasting the staff for trading away Jamie Collins?

yeah because Jamie collins is a fast and athletic linebacker. We just didnt want to pay him

Makes sense now why you want Collins back since you have absolutely NO CLUE why he was traded. Do you know the reason we weren’t entertaining an extension?

he was trash last year but only because of the browns

To be fair, I do wish Collins got his act together because that dude was a freak. Had all the potential. Jumping over lines to block kicks, was fast as hell, meh. Why was he such a bag of bildos.

Things look bleak now but this team can still bounce back with some players coming back. Especially Flowers, Edelman and Gordon.

Not expecting miracles but it was a funny weekend of football. Minnesota getting pummeled by Buffalo, Jville losing to the Titans. You just never know.

I’d be lying though if I said i wasnt worried about the defense. They look really bad so I’m hoping they will get it together when Flowers comes back and play great football.

Agreed, but he forced the pats hand at the end.

We could always trade for a pass rusher. Our D line literally has been getting mauled the past 2 games. it should be the other way around.

Maybe he would be useful plugging holes, we could use that on the run D.

Next Sunday will be a very interesting game to see how they respond. But I don't think they have the talent like they did in 2014 to "turn it on", especially on defense. Offensively, they are a joke. Edelman will help, but he's not enough and it's unfair to think he's the savior. It's Gordon that has to play well to take pressure off of Edelman and Gronk, etc.. I still think this season will end up like 2002 which wouldn't be the worst thing because BB overhauled the team like he did in 2003.

But here's the thing. If the Pats don't make the playoffs, does Brady even return?

Not only did he want too I heard he would play for vet min.
Nice!
ok @Redman443 we got this. email Von Miller and ask him really nicely if he will come play here? Its [email protected]

Please keep this email between you and I because I had to get it from someone at the NFL and nobody can know about it.

Thanks

Have we looked good without a suitable slot receiver in the last decade? No. Hopefully Jules gets into a groove quickly. DA would have been nice undoubtedly.

Cooks was unsustainable, I wish our compensation for him was healthy. We could use bodies on the line. It’s a shame Britt and Matthews got injured so early but we have something in Gordon and 14 weeks left to get him up to speed. If he gets suspended, he gets suspended, not worth worrying about now. I have a hunch he will be fine.

TE and RB will be fine.

Our defense isn’t looking hot. A factor is our offense hasn’t put others in a position that dictates them to a quick game rhythm. When the opposing offense can grind out drives, tire our defense and methodically avoid mistakes/disadvantageous situations, we are screwed. This defense is built, I suspect, to win the 4 point plays, 3rd down plays in the red zone. If we get gassed early on, our effectiveness in a short field goes out of the window.

I think if our offense can dictate opponents trying to play catch up, we play better aggressively on a long field. Some of which we saw against the Texans.

DA nice. DA at 12 million not so nice
The comp for Cooks was the 23rd pick. Whats is not healthy about that?

Another thread on what might have been.. if wishes were horses, never mind.

These rumors are perpetuated for a reason, to generate interest and keep fans coming back to listen to more rumors.. stoking the fires of dissent is a major ploy of any media, moreso today.. there are a bunch of mediots in the wings wanting to say I told you so.

The Pats could trade for a "pass rusher", who for example and what would you give up.. the 30th pick?? Sometimes it seems as though the values of MLB are automatically transposed to the NFL.. raisins and graprefruit???
