We never have the "final 53". There will be transactions all year. But, the Game 1 and Game 2 rosters are more "final" for me than the so called final cut. The final cut included 2 players that put on IR the next few days: Izzo and Dawson, hardly final. The roster was light at OL, WR. and PR. Belichick added back Schwenke, Hansen and McCarron.
I suppose some were shocked that Belichick kept special teamer Grissom and didn't keep special teamer Bolden.
Obviously, we could have an upgrade this next week, or at any time, especially at WR. But, absent injuries, one of Hansen or Mccarran are holding a roster spot for Edelman.
We have some solid Practice Squad players in Valentine, Croston, Webb and Harris. Any of these could be promoted, as needed, at any time. The rest included favs of some posters: Langi, Ferenz, and Wiltz. Even the newbies may be interesting: Anderson (TE), and Billingsley (WR/ ST).
As always, there were lots of end of roster choices, but no major surprises from Belichick (IMO). Were there any major SURPRISES for other posters?
