Garcia cut!

Literally nobody at all here has said Wynn is a "done deal" just like no one said he was an All Pro. Dante said Wynn is going to get a shot at left tackle. There's no reason to believe he won't be in the mix. I think you need a nap.

Homer boys are telling that NE is good at LT.

Got Wynn, Brown and Waffle. Rivers never made it out of camp, but Wynn is already going to contribute.

Yall still crying for Garcia now that he is a Jet?
Why on earth would this fan base lament over a personnel decision in which the result was a released player with medical issues was picked up by the Jets?

Well, nobody has made it out of camp yet. The most stacked position groups in the NFL could be a train wreck 2 weeks into the preseason because of injuries. What is different about rookies?

But yes, from now until the end of time, we should all expect zero contributions from all rookies and free agent adds because Rivers tore his ACL last year.

The same applies to everyone on the team. Anyone could get injured. One of two might retire. Perhaps, it is logically right to expect ZERO contributions from each of our players.

Once we get by this issue, we can discuss what we might expect.

And yes, I understand the situation is different for players who spent their rookie year injured. These players rarely become major contributors. [Rivers!]

If he ever plays meaningful snaps for the jete - or for anyone else - then somebody in Foxborough will have some 'splainin' to do.
to whom? to you who thought that Garcia was such a great prospect?

I agree, it’s not like the Jets are going to turn him into an All Pro. And it’s not like he has any intel on us since he was out last year.

Because his upside is a franchise left tackle and if the Jets can salvage him to a decent starter and Rivers and Wise dont become good players then it will go down as the worsr draft in BBs tenure and we should of traded every pick into this years or even the following to build up the team.

Let's be clear. Belichick did trade lots of picks last year. He even traded our 1st to rent a player and then got the 1st back with interest.

Why?
Players who aren’t good enough to play for team A could still play meaningful snaps for team Q.

So your theory is you should keep players based upon what cutting says about your draft rating?

Well that's what I was saying. For Triumph to act like Wynn is a complete unknown for us because he's a rookie and we once had a rookie get hurt doesn't make sense. As you said, if we're going to expect nothing from Wynn, then we need to expect nothing from every single player because no one is guaranteed to stay healthy.

I am assuming that the Jets picked up Garcia with the hope that, after a year on IR, he will be a contributor on the OL, similar to when the Pats signed Ballard, the TE from the Giants who burned them in the SB. As I recall, Ballard spent 2 years on IR and then failed to make the roster, eventually retiring. I just hope Garcia doesn't try to play this season and risk another bout of blood clots. This could be fatal.

Thank you Dr Doolittle for your expert medical opinion.

Reggie Lewis found a Doctor to clear him. There were lawyers and lawsuits back then just like there is today. But, youre probably a lawyer too, so you already know.

Typical moronic comment from you, Triumph.
HUGE difference between 30 years ago and now in regards to doctors being held accountable for players health because of quacks like the one who OKed for Reggie Lewis to play.. Of course, you also forget that Lewis didn't stop using Coke.

Like I said, you obviously know being a Doctor and a Lawyer.

Then, add knowing everything about football.

@DaBruinz, I could be wrong, but while Triumph's words were gracious, I cannot be certain that they were entirely sincere...How do you feel about that?

Why not nfi list him see if he can recover and be a asset down the road.
If he plays good or great football for the Jets ill be pissed at the teams decison.

You have to understand the nature and treatment of blood clots. He was cleared to resume practicing a few weeks ago and by all accounts looked and felt well.

All of a sudden, they cut him with an NFI distinction. That strongly suggests that something happened in the interim, most likely another blood clot. Standard of care for treatment of a second clot is usually LIFELONG anticoagulation (blood thinners). You can’t play football on blood thinners. This clearly was not an issue about his on the field potential as a player. It’s possible, if not likely, that the Jets did not have all of the private medical information when they made the claim. We’ll probably know something more over the next few days.
