I’d much rather you referred to the 2001 Pats.Just ask the Eagles how "being the backup helps the team win now." Such a giant baby on so many levels.
Disagree. There's nothing wrong with the text of his comments viewed on their own, but the fact that he said anything at all is a bit of an issue. If you ignore the fact that the option "Keep Mouth Closed" was on the table, what he said isn't entirely unreasonable, but why should we ignore this? Anything he says on the subject is going to be misinterpreted by half the fanbase, so why even open his mouth? He said what many here have been saying for years, which is that you should be maximizing the talent around the current QB rather than burning high picks on theoretical QBOTF, and he cracked a joke as a follow up to what Rudolph had said earlier
Steelers selection of Mason Rudolph behind Ben Roethlisberger signals a shift.
Nothing wrong with what he said.

Um, Brady just did the exact same thing. He even ran the kid out of town.
Skeezer boy is many things. Washed up is not one of them.Ben better hope Antonio does not get hurt next season, otherwise everybody will see him for the washed up has been he currently is.
If he didn't have AB, and Bell you'd see a very underwhelming QB at this stage. They make up for his many deficiencies. Don't be surprised, when he's out of Pittsburgh in two years max regardless if he's still playing.Skeezer boy is many things. Washed up is not one of them.

Lol! He wouldn't last a week in this offense. Whereas you put Brady in the Pitt. O they probably win SB after SB.you would see a different Roethlisberger if he had Edelman, Hogan, Matthews and Patterson to throw to.
Speculative. If he didn't have AB, and Bell you'd see a very underwhelming QB at this stage. They make up for his many deficiencies. Don't be surprised, when he's out of Pittsburgh in two years max regardless if he's still playing.
Based on what? Conference titles...playoff appearances...that team should be winning SB's not hanging playoff banters. Their offense was garbage in the playoffs.. at home...against a Florida teamSpeculative.
He still needs to make the throws and he is.

90 percent of the starting qb's in the league could do what he does, and in most cases more with that offense. I'm being generous in saying 90. He's average at best, with a great deep ball. What does that have to do with him being washed up?
But they haven't and don't.90 percent of the starting qb's in the league could do what he does, and in most cases more with that offense. I'm being generous in saying 90. He's average at best, with a great deep ball.
I'm just saying, the guy is tremendously over rated. He has under performed to this point in his career (to be considered an "amazing" QB lol), considering the talent he has always had around him. Hell, I hope he sticks around for 5 more years. But they haven't and don't.
Even if you're right (and there's not a consensus on this) he had the grace to do it quietly.Um, Brady just did the exact same thing. He even ran the kid out of town.
