When, How Will it end?

I had thought Goodell would have wished this to be over...go away,,move on, but from what all I can see, it's not happening.
Goodell is a puppet with Polien and the like fueling this whole thing with his hate of the Patriots and Coach B. The media is like a tidal wave on a witch hunt...HOW will it end???
After seeing Goodell..hearing how he wants all the tapes and notes..I really think this is going to only get worse.
Who is going to stop Goodell?? Who is going to stop this runaway train?
I really fear until this franchise is destroyed Goodell and Polien will not stop...
Will they kick BB out of the league??
How do fans get the media to look at this differently? When how will opinion change? Maybe someone needs to get the goods on him..expose him...I really do not know..one would think that Kraft would do something to stop this runaway train, BUT?? How when...I just do not see how it will end given what has happened.. What can the fans do???
I can tell you if Goodell EVER comes to Gillete...again, I would LOVE to see the fans en masse moon him.. and give him the finger OR do something en masse.. I just do not know how this will stop....

Of course, by then, Tom Brady will be looking for one more ring for the outgoing coach to go with the other SEVEN on his fingers.

I think SEVEN Championships in 14 years will be pretty sweet, no reason to think we won't do just that.

Actually......... It's kinda a chess match. When the last time we heard info about BB contract. Kraft told Goodell to EFF himself with it.

I do not think that the added request for the tapes is anything more then confiscating YEARS of BB research he feels was obtained illegally so that he can't use it anymore.

Other than his EGO and PRIDE, I realy think the floodwaters have crested and this will begin to tail away. We all know exactly what he was doing it for and why, he thought he was taken advantage of a loophole, and got whacked for it. Move on.

Personally, I think Kraft should tell him that his witch hunt is over. BB screwed up and he and the team were penalized. Kraft promissed it won't happen again.

He should tell Goodell that the past is off limits. The NFL will get NOTHING from the patriots concerning the past and any efforts to levy further fines will end up on a court battle.

It should end when the Krafts hire the best NFL atty to go to NY and tell the Sheriff that he is getting nothing else since the Sheriff's office is as leaky as a sieve (How did the media get a copy of the tape? who leaked BB's contract status?) and the Pats graciously accepted his stiff penalty with the understanding that this was the end of this mess (and that it was a penalty not only for the minor violation they were caught on, but perhaps other thngs that had happened). If not, they are appealing everything to an arbitrator and going to bring in all the evidence of everyone else who has done this or something similar, thus tarnishing the entire NFL, which the Sheriff was hired to maintain in its profitable popular status.

I don't know whether Kraft is handling this correctly, however. He keeps issuing statements saying how disappointed he is. He should shut up and turn it over to his best atty. Goodell is messing with his product, big time, and it's time to strike back with guns blazing (albeit in private)>

Realistically, with performances like the Pats put on last night, it is going to become extremely difficult for Goodell to go after the Pats. At this point they are without a doubt the cream of the league. Last night was in part a fine way to partially vindicate Belichick...at least to reassure the naysayers his team is his ultimate weapon..not videos of others' signals.

Had the Patriots fallen apart last night, the creeps would have been out in force today. That didn't happen.

Like Barney Fife, Goodell is a weak enforcer who ends up arresting more people than the jail will hold trying to prove he's tough.

Excellent points. I first thought it was extremely poor of the NFL to leak the tape, but no I think it is a good think. Anyone watching the tape ought to realize that what was recorded was something freeely available to everyone with a pair of binoculars.

As you suggest, it's time for Kraft to hire a good lawyer. Jeffrey Kessler

comes to mind. Goodell seems to be on a witch hunt, spurred on by

members of the competition committee. Many of the NFL coaches and

players (past and present) are looking for excuses for their failures

Just to add more weight to my previous post - I was listening to Dale & Holley as I drove and they just reported that Roger Goodell's wife works for Fox News, so does Jay Glazer who ended up with the Jets tape. F-O Mr. Commish - you ain't gettin' nuthin' else.

I see that many of your seem to think you know how to run a business better than Robert Kraft.

From now on, I am interested in statements from 2-3 people: from the Commissioner, from Jonathan Kraft and from Robert Kraft.

The Kraft's have many corporate attorneys who can hire whatever consultants they need to help.

Kraft indicated that there was a long discussion with Goddell and with Belichick. If there is nothing more in the tapes that Robert Kraft now knows about, then there may be another punishment or issue, but it will all be contained, and has already been negotiated. If there is more than Belichick has told Kraft about, then Belichick will be suspended, and will work (with Kraft paying) in the Commissioner's Office on cleaning up these practices for all 32 teams.

I suspect that Belichick has come clean with the Kraft's and, with Kraft present, with the Commissioner. The issue should soon turn to detection of future events and prevention through rules changes.

OK...but it isn't..the issue is Goodell going into the past, wishing to confiscate teh Patriot's library and of taking down the franchise..I agree that it SHOULD turn to that..but Goodell is hardly doing that..Do you think teh Patriots should have over videos, notes to Goodell???
