Yeah, this is the Patriots' MO, I'm really not worried. They'll make some value deals over the next week or two. In an ideal world I'd have liked to see them upgrade at LB and keep Solder, but with money being a factor and their cap space being where it is I'm content to reserve judgment until the full picture is in place.

A one year Brady extension would save a max of ~$10.5M in 2018. Kind of under my category of "significant restructuring."

Thomas at his best is a terrific safety. But a 1st and a 3rd, maybe more? If the Seahawks get that it would be a major robbery.

I agree that they're still tight, but they could free up money pretty quickly with restructures - Brady, Gronk (who probably wants more guaranteed and should get it), DMac (who should be in a good mood right now) cuts, and extensions.
