I expect extremely few outside of New England to react positively to this article, but still nice to see a positive piece on MSM (after SBLII no less) highlighting the truths that Brady's detractors never acknowledge.

Why Tom Brady, despite all his rings and accomplishments, is still very underrated

There were a few errors & omissions in the article, the biggest being counting the statistics for the 2008 season when Brady was getting zombie parts sewn into to his knee. That's too big to miss on LaCanforas part. It needs to be mentioned as it provides context.

Otherwise it was an enjoyable read.

It's good except for this point:

It's part of why I consider him right there with Babe Ruth, Wayne Gretzky/Gordie Howe, Jerry Rice/Jim Brown, and Michael Jordan on the Mount Rushmore of American professional team-sport athletes (go ahead and throw Pele/Maradona/Messi up there as well if you want to go global with this argument).

The whole Mount Rushmore point is to choose four players! He has 7 and maybe 10.

That would be awesome. I think it’s bullsh.t that Brady works out so much, they need to make rules against that. Most players don’t want to work that hard so it gives him a really big advantage, and the same thing goes for all the film study, which he gets to do way too much of. Half an hour a day should be the limit, that will help with parity and give the Colts and Ravens (e.g.) a much better chance.

That’s the market. But Lynch should probably get a real cap guru because spending like that doesn’t work once you get successful.

Jimmy has 7-10 years left.
Tom has 2-5 and probably on the lower end of that.
