This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

actually he does. We pay for tickets, which results in kraft paying his salary. Bill owes us doing everything he can to WIN, and sitting butler, with the complete lack on information he's given us, butler, the media, and the rest of the patriots team, looks a lot like Spite to me.

It looks like he sat butler, sabotaged the patriots chance to win, All because his ego needed to rub it in malcolm face a little heading into FA.

Nope, he doesn’t, he’s already given more than every other coach in their history combined.

Don’t like it? Find another team to root for.

I think dressing him was purely a matter of numbers, , my belief is that Belichick would have preferred to make him inactive but numbers dictated dressing him.
Really ? Dont you for even 1 % feel this is odd ?

Sweet baby Jesus are you really that dense?

MALCOLM BUTLER SAID THEY LOST FAITH IN HIM!

Butler's words, not mine.

You're dense! You actually believe that Mumbo jumbo. Off course he's gonna say that. They have more faith in bademosi and Richards lol. You would be dense if you actually believe this had to do with his on field performance.

That is not how Bill Belichick operates.

If he thought Butler would be making great plays, Butler would have been out there.

No, Bill has benched players in the past for discipline reasons. He did it to Welker against the Ravens in 2009. And believe me, if the league didn’t suspend Gronk earlier this year, Bill would have.

Because he was crying and the coaches felt sorry for him would be my best guess, so they “gave” him a snap. It was a token gesture more than anything.

Want to know why they only gave him one snap? Because we only forced ONE FREAKING PUNT.

Well BB acted like a jerk by suiting the guy up and telling him in the biggest game of the year before the start of the game. His explanation of what's best for the team's a joke.

This is the same guy who cut Tiquan Underwood right before the Super Bowl in 2011. He can be ruthless.

Butler said it....moron.

Yes, and we desperately needed him on punt coverage.

Yes, they have more faith in players who practice their game plan hard than those who say f.ck it.

Butler said the coaches lost faith in him, that’s his fault, not theirs.

And Belichick doesn’t owe you or any other fan anything. If you think you have been shorted then go find another team that won’t disappoint you so much.

Thanks for showing your true position. “B.B. can do as he pleases, and go find somebody else if you don’t like it”.

Malcolm Butler has been acting like a whiny little ***** all season.

Do you all recall him sulking on the bench and not celebrating with his teammates.
I have no idea if that attitude carried over to practice. Probably.

He handled his perceived contract issues very immaturely.
He will get paid now...by someone else...although maybe not as much as if he had deported himself more maturely.

Having said all that:
Belichick could have lightened up in the second half.

Malcolm does not play defensive line. That is where the game was lost. Not a single sack and very little pressure.

The D-line lacks the dominant stud that commands a double team.
The Richard Seymour or Vince Wilforks of the world.

Hard to obtain this type of player when you pick so late every year and have first round draft picks stolen by jealous billionaire witch hunts.

Butler said it....moron.

What do you expect him to say? They didn't play me so they gave up on me. They lost faith. That's what they did but it wasn't because of his play! It was something else. You understand now? Bademosi and Richards are not a better option than butler. Can you grasp that?

I don't have a problem with any of those scenarios. Most of us, including Bill, know that he'll never field a team of 53 choir boys. Although citing those examples only add to my point. How is Bill "Rules Are Rules" Belichick being consistent? It's easy to move the goal posts and point to other factors like "practicing well, knew the gameplan, trusted them to do their job, etc." since the moment I take issue with that as it relates to Butler, the response will be "well you weren't at the practices".

I don't see how Bill moved the goal posts. If you want to hammer Bill on game plans, drafts, personnel decisions I'm right there with you but you can't say hes inconsistent in his message to players as it relates to what is expected of them . Hes been like that for 18 years. He has not changed one bit and nor have his policies.

Neither of use were at the practices, but I find it very hard to believe that Butler wasn't trusted to do his job or struggled with the game plan. Come on. He played 100% of the snaps vs the Titans and Jags, amassing 4 and 6 total tackles in each of those games.

I hear you. Everything that went down was the time between the JAX game and Sunday. It reached a point in which BB did not trust Malcolm to carry out his assignments. I get that you don't believe him. I'm just stating with confidence why he did it.

If Malcolm was high and had a roomfull of strippers and partying with Snoop but practiced hard all week, knew the game plan cold and could be trusted to execute it at a competitive level he would have played. I have no doubt in my mind BB would have let that **** slide.

That's such horsesh*t. Did you read the article they just posted. Playing butler gives us a much better chance to win and a chance to get some of those 3rd down stops.

A Malcolm Butler who practiced well all week, knew the game plan, was mentally prepared to play and had a great attitude would have no doubt have helped the team on Sunday.

But that didn't happen.

BB looked like a complete egomaniac in the end. You have former players questioning his move. He did what was right for him but not the team.

Thanks for showing your true position. “B.B. can do as he pleases, and go find somebody else if you don’t like it”.

don't forget misquoting the player in question as his evidence.

Every post

"misquote see he said it, also if you don't like it leave"

its a very trumpian defense.

yeah i hear he forgot how to play football 10 days after he helped get the team to the third superbowl in his 4 years with the team
You can be sure Bill didn't think he wasn't ready to play football.

Nope, he doesn’t, he’s already given more than every other coach in their history combined.

Don’t like it? Find another team to root for.
Here we go again. It’s perhaps better for you to find another thread to post in. Why don’t you create one and call it “Belichick’s brilliant strategy that no one in the world can understand”
