SMOKING GUN: URSA's PICTURE...What it else showed

Re: SMOKING GUN : URSA's PICTURE... What it else showed

I doubt that the commissioner wants this to be a cascading thing where this goes from team to team getting caught. Then the NFL looks even worse. IMO Goodell felt the Pats were a good scapegoat. Likewise the rules are pretty clear so it was easy to do this. However what if it becomes a chain reaction? I'm pretty sure he wants to put the issue to rest even if there is some merit to this.

And it looks like the media is more than happy to accomodate him. It's too bad, I am more interested in just showing that another team was doing this than I am with taking down the Jets. Of course if they lost their only first rounder I wouldn't shed a tear. But it seems pretty clear that both teams were taping eachother last Sunday, so are they both "cheating"?

Likewise the rules are pretty clear so it was relatively to easy punish the Pats by taking away a 1st round pick. However what if it becomes a chain reaction? I'm pretty sure he wants to put the issue to rest even if there is some merit to this. Either way, if this is true, I think the truth needs to come out, whether or not the NFL likes how it further stains its image.

This brings into disrepute the entire integrity of the NFL.

Why? Has new information come out?

Too bad if RG doesn't want it cascading from team to team. So the Pats should just bend over and accept it?

Goodell wanted to make a statement that this will not be tolerated and violators will punished severely? Well RG, you let the hysterical media jackals influence you to stick it to the Pats, now be prepared to stick it any other violators. Even those who haven't managed their draft situations as well, if they don't have extra picks to lose, too bad!

It doesn't matter if he wants to put the issue to rest if there are other violators. You wanted the job, you wanted to be the tough guy? Good! Be the tough guy, but be a consistent tough guy. Investigate this!

Have any answers to a very legitimate question come out? Personally I hope it's true and the Jets get caught doing the same thing NE was doing.

You, on the other hand, seem to be hoping theres a perfectly reasonable explanation for his prescence or that the Jets get away with the same infraction we were punished for.

You want to carry the Jets flag, then you own it. Mangini is a rat-fink bastard who set us up and had it leaked to the media. If you think he's not doing the same things now then you are ignoring reality.

He learned from the best then ratted him out. Those guys usually wound up getting whacked on that show he appeared on. I hope his sour grapes come back to bite him.

I just got a response on one of my emails that I sent out from someone in the "real" media. They are into this. Keep getting the word out there patsfans! We will be heard.

No, I just don't like people purposely misrepresenting the situation. I'm all for trying to figure out who the guy is, but there are numerous people in this thread putting forth speculation as fact. It's ridiculous.

The facts are these:

1.Stealing signs are as old as the game itself.

2.Ratgina is a former Patriot DC a season +1 game removed.

3.NO ONE who has confirmed who the mystery cameraman is.

4.League rules prohibit team personel from video-taping on the sidelines during the game.

5.The cameraman in question is NOT Estrella, who was on our sideline.

6.He is NOT wearing an NFL films mandated vest.

7.There alot of hypocrite's out there.

8.He filmed the Patriots on defense more than once and also taped the Jets sideline while the Pats were on offense. There have been no photos of him taping the Patriots offense.

9.More things will come out about other teams and players stealing signs. The genie is out of the bottle.

10.The J-E-T-S SUCK! SUCK! SUCK!

Re: SMOKING GUN : URSA's PICTURE... What it else showed

and................. even more interesting is this tidbit.

The Jets' video director, Steve Scarnecchia, formerly worked for the Patriots' video department. Sources say he once had the same duties that landed Estrella in spilled water last Sunday and that Scarnecchia was the one who trained Estrella to clandestinely compile the verboten footage in the first place. Oh, and Scarnecchia's father, Dante, is New England's longtime offensive line coach and has been Belichick's assistant head coach since 2000. Theirs should be a whale of a Thanksgiving dinner.

From THIS ARTICLE

Again................. Does this guy WORK for the JETS.

I can't find a photo of Steve

Re: SMOKING GUN : URSA's PICTURE... What it else showed

Can anyone get a screen grab of the guy operating the boom mike next to our mystery videographer? I think there's a chance he could be Ryan Mahanes, Jet Employee in the Video Department. If it is Mahanes there's an even better chance that the guy shooting the film is Tim Tubito, another Jet Employee in the Video Department.

Here's his myspace page. Be careful. He likes really bad music.

Re: SMOKING GUN : URSA's PICTURE... What it else showed

I call bull****. I'm on the sidelines of NFL games and in lockerrooms. Until Sunday, I never paid attention to the photographers/video men- even the ones I was friends with. I couldn't tell you what type of logo was on their shirt. I find it highly unlikely that 3 days before this incident, you were aware enough to notice a cameraman on the sideline, realize that he had a team polo on, and take more than a passing interest. There's no way something like that sticks out in your long-term memory.

That's your right I guess, but it's the truth. My dad and I go into the dome right after the gates open, about 2 hours before kick off. So there is a lot of time that the teams aren't warming up and I'm checking out other things. One thing that I pay attention too is the photographers, because I am one. I wasn't doing it to be aware of what they were wearing, I just noticed that the one guy standing 20 feet in front of me had a Saints shirt on. BTW, I wouldn't say it's longterm memory.

Scratch this. Upon further review I highly doubt either one is Mahanes or Tubito.

Why's that? Did you hear that they were elsewhere at the time? Did you find another picture of them?

Re: SMOKING GUN : URSA's PICTURE... What it else showed

Would there be any reason, I wonder, for the Jets video staff to be recording audio with a boom mike? Is that kind of mike sensitive or directional enough to pick up audibles from the field?

Re: SMOKING GUN : URSA's PICTURE... What it else showed

Hello all,

keep up the pressure and keep posting here. This site is just meant as a single point where someone can see a quick request for identification since we have questions if the media is willing to take the time to go through the forum and digest this instead of just saying, oh they must be talking about the Patriots video guy.

Give me suggestions or new photos

You would think that some reporter might find it worth their while to do work on a story on the prevalence of sideline videotaping. I can't find any mention of this kind of angle anywhere in the media.

Poor Tim Tubito. This very thread is one of the top hits under his name in a Google Search under his name, and that picture probably isn't even of him.
