Bad News Everyone - [Lombardi opinion on matchup vs Eagles]

the only thing that worries me is the eagles sustaining long drives keeping brady off the field....just like jax did in the first half. The eagles have a better QB, TE, and WRs than jax, so the pats defense has a tough task at hand.

It'll take alot to beat this team.

I wouldn't characterize Lombardi's comments as 'bashing the Pats'.
Bashing should be in quotes. I stated in a previous post that mike lombardi was giving his opinion not bashing the pats. That word was used by someone else earlier. Also i should mention i once took a crap next to mike lombardi, he asked for toilet paper, so i basically know everything about him.

Lombardi's a personal guy, he has no clue on strategy, never has and probably never will. He is interesting to listen to but he has his limitations.

Well, looking back at this, I wonder how much of what Lombardi said was true and how much BB changed his defense to try to limit the Eagles. I still think if he stuck to the same personal, the defense would have performed better...

He must be a pretty ****ty personel guy than. How can one be a personel guy without having any understanding of how the personel is going to mesh and work together to accomplish the task

Exactly. He makes some good points from time to time, but I don't think he will ever live down the "Mallett is a mid 1st rd pick" analysis. I thought he was onto something at the time.

lmao

Yeah, that is my point. I think Lombardi and BB still talk and I bet BB was so afraid of the Eagles, yes, the Eagles, he changed his defense complete around to deal with their offense. That is the only conclusion I can draw from all of this.

Apparently he was right no matter how he got the info, but he's had some bad calls too. The eagles won't let him forget about his opinion on their coach when he was hired.

I still think that big-head Dougie is a lighter-weight Chumley Reid Junior, and he wasn't all that bright during 2016, but he apparently has learned from his mistakes, and has placed more trust in his assistants. Still pisses me off that we lost to him & Little Nicky Foles.

Jordan Richards in on defensive sub-packages. 16-0, here we come!

Oh, wait a minute now .........................................................................

Wrong on Mallett, but right on Jimmy G, so...
