I thought it would be a blow out but by half time, with gronk out, I thought the pats might be toast. Great comeback. No matter how many times I’ve seen them do that, I’m never ready for it.

My thinking had nothing to do with arrogance. Ignorance maybe is closer

It's going to be a cosmopolitan crowd and if anyone is going to be booed it'll be us. You're deeply underestimating how much people hate us after closing in on 2 decades of sustained excellence.

Yep. The level of hate has gone up so high now I can’t believe it. People on Twitter are going China syndrome

The cosmopolitan (corporate) types won't care enough to boo anyone and Eagles fans will outnumber Pats fans but only slightly. Crowd noise won't be a factor either way.

I would certainly hope so, two weeks should be plenty of time. We can win without him but I sure hope we don't have to

Comments like this show how uninformed people are about concussions. Every concussion is different and every person is different. You just never know. Yeah, it would be great if Gronk's concussion is mild and he can come back for the SB. But let's not act like it's a certainty and that if he can't he's less of a player for it..

The Bruins had a center, Marc Savard, who they lost for years because of PCS.

At most I'd guess 40% of the crowd will actually care about the teams on the field of that most will be Eagles fans (Edit: or Patriots haters) but overall I agree it won't really matter.

The crowd won't heavily-favor the Pats, though, that much I'd bet big on.

That it took so long to rule him out told me all I need to know. He will be ready

Wow, a hit like that could end gronk career. That’s awful news

I've been to four Patriots Super Bowls and the crowd makeup usually is about 50 percent neutral corporate and +/- 25 percent each team. It's a weird environment in which to watch your favorite team go for it all.

SMH... First time watching a Belichick coached team is it? Dollars to Donuts BB knew that Gronk was gone for the game as soon as he came off the field and that the team changed up their schemes at half-time to account for Gronk being out the rest of the way.

Been looking around on twitter. Facebook, etc and the hate and venom directed towards us is really vicious this year. Everyone friggin hates us, the Pats, and anything to do with them.

It’s not fair.
The refs gave them the game.
I’m sick of them.
Why can’t someone else have a turn.
Wahhhh!
Reeeee!

I must admit, I enjoy it, I feed on it. Pour me a giant glass of their delicious tears. Better yet let me bathe in it.

Buahahaha

The NFL decides if a guy can come back in the game right? Look at Newton in the saints game

Gronk will be out there and he will go for 120 yards and a TD or 2

Or I'm simply acknowledging that the vast majority of players with concussions are cleared within two weeks. No need to be condescending over a pretty simple observation, obviously anyone who's watched professional sports in the last decades knows that it's technically possible a concussion could keep Gronk out much longer than two weeks. That is, however, very unlikely based on all precedent we've got.

I’ll just leave this here...

Brady went 9 of 14 for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.....down by 10 ...against that D...without Gronk...with the season on the line....with 12 stitches in his hand...utilizing multiple empty sets.....down to his 3rd string RT...and a hobbled Burkmeister

G.O.A.T.

One last thing before bed. I honestly don't know what our defensive game plan was to start the game. Was their a plan? Bortles rolls to his right and dumps off passes to a back multiple times every game but it seemed like it was our first time seeing this. It took way too long for us to adjust.

#5 The Pats just keep falling for the same thing over and over again it looked like on defense. Those passers to the outside for RBs killed the Patriots. It wasn't like they had a solution to it. The Jags just kind of stopped doing it mostly.
I thought that was a big part of the Pats getting back in the game, - Jags just stopped doing what had been successful. Maybe it was because the Pats stopped them but it seemed more like the Jags OC went into a conservative shell hoping to weather the rest of the game.
