I didn't see a thread for these "lesser" showcase games, so ...

2018 East-West Shrine Classic roster - Great Blue North Draft Report

2018 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl roster - Great Blue North Draft Report

2018 NFLPA COLLEGIATE BOWL WATCH LIST – NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

Although the practice reports published (blogged, tweeted) by scouts have always been more important to me than the games themselves, as an FYI, both games are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20th (the day before NFL Championship Sunday) with the NFLPA BOWL starting at 1:00pm (from the Rose Bowl) and the SHRINE kicking off at 3:00pm from Tropicana Field in St. Pete.

I have no idea if either will be televised.

EDIT - I initially posted the wrong link for the NFLPA Roster stuff. Added now.

I'm not sure if the rosters have updated, but NFL.com finally released a roster list for the game. It also looks like a couple of TE coaches will be the head coaches:

Longtime NFL assistants to coach East-West Shrine Game

Hayes has spent the past 15 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals as tight ends coach. He played for 12 years with Kansas City and Pittsburgh, making 153 catches for 1,718 yards.

Johnson has been tight ends coach for the Raiders for the last three seasons. He has also done stints with Detroit, Jacksonville and Buffalo.

I love this part of the draft season. All star practices and the run up to the Combine is a fun two month stretch.

Y'know, there was this guy who started out as an assistant special teams/TE coach - in Detroit, I think, back in the 1970s sometime. Wonder whatever happened to him ....?

@reamer what does the 6060 stand for? Is this the height of the player so 6ft 6? But yes DRAFT SEASON IS HERE

Great question. You've got the basics right (6 feet 6 inches in that example). The final number is 8th of an inch, so you might see a corner listed as 5117, or 5105, or 6002, etc.

Just wanted to double check, is there any reason why they do it like that? From the UK so was just wondering if there was a legit reason.

Thanks for info.

Shimonek among top names to watch for us in Shrine.

Some former high prospects there as well..

Mea culpa . . .

The tweet above is not accurate. It's the pre-practice handout, and not the official measurements, which will include the 8th of an inch, and also arm length and hand size, etc.

So far in the East West game, I've been intrigued by Street, C. Thomas, J. Lawler, and Ostman (all edge guys; that's my bias). The trench guys are definitely showing up on both sides of the ball. Others who have impressed me are Igwebuike and Maddox. I'm only half watching the game, so I've probably missed some good performances.

Really liked the awareness from Natrell Jamerson on the fumble return for the touchdown. Everyone else thought the play was dead, but he picked up the ball and ran it back for the game's only touchdown (so far).

Just peeked the second half.

My boy Shimonek showing up! He's as psycho as Tommy.

Guys I like from before showing up as well: Street, Frazier.
TE Wolf had some moments after somewhat disappointing season.

Nichols, Lawler, Scales, Young, Landing, Walker, Nichols to watch among others
__

Wise played West IIRC..

I wrote about Godwin IG in my thread. He's absolutely a P-TP imo. Good dude.

Also intrigued by Ostman & Lawler. Not flashy but sound, technical guys that produce.

So pumped man. Gunna start banging out more reports the end of next week.

I just really excited bc we have a great stack of picks.

Great to hear. You're doing amazing job here. Didn't even had the time yet to enjoy your profiles so no hurry..;)

Thanks man!
Yea Imma go hard starting mid/late week. Gunna do a thread for each position & the put all the P-T-P's in one.

De Thomas from Miami was very intriguing. He might be a player to interest bb.
