Meanwhile .. Gronk earns his 2.5M All-Pro incentive

Yeah just like how the league keeps making sure the Pats win the Super Bowl so Kraft has to spend millions of bucks on Supet Bowl rings until he goes bankrupt and has to sell the team. The NFLs anti Patriot conspiracy knows no bounds!
You realize the voters don't work for the NFL, right...

Gronk played well all season but played great in the second half. I am not sure his second half of season performance matters much in his voting but it's easy for voters to remember what he did lately.
That said, truly deserving for Gronk. Very happy for him.

Even more happier than Kelce got shunned.

I agree and like I said I am happy for Gronk.

But it is still 2.5m in cap space That is the roster builder inside of me. Definitely money well spend though.

I know.. We'll build another good one regardless ..
(this is just peanuts really in the close to 200M barrel)

Injuries took much more though and they will get some credit for them (I think the ones from Jules and High might cover this one - but not really sure how it works - hopefully Miguel stops by and explains)

On the other hand they gained with the guys they brought in for replacement/depth and look like they can take next year's jobs w virtually no cap implications (Lee, Reilly, possibly Britt, Grigsby who's playing great on ST) so that evens it out a bit..

Absolute joke Gronk wasn't unanimous even more of a joke that 10 people think Kelce is better.

Also wonder who the 3 writers that didn't vote for Brady are and who they voted for.

Good for him. There wasn't much doubt he'd do it, one way or another.

Gronk is so good that even when the team carefully picks his spots and manages the number of hits they're willing to let him take, he's still the All Pro TE and it's not even close because maybe one guy comes even remotely close to approximating his impact on the field.

Wentz and Russell Wilson split the other 3 votes.

Yeah, that's great and all, but what about Patriot of the Week? AFAIK neither Brady OR Gronk have received it this year. No wonder they hate their coach!

The "Kelce feels disrespected" tweet from anti patriots fake news in 3, 2, 1...

In other All Pro News, it’s only PFF, but they named Dion Lewis 2nd team All Pro at RB.

I haven't looked at the numbers, but this surprises me given the other big names out there........Gurley, Hunt, Kamara, McCoy, etc.

To be fair the numbers were close and only one guy could get it.

So Gronk fans would argue if Kelce got it.

Kelce fans will argue since Gronk got it.

No. This was not close at all. We are talking about the best TE and Kelce is not even close in blocking. Thats also the reason Jimmy Graham didnt even get a single vote.
