"How do we feel about 13 and 3?"

I remember saying at the start of the 2001 season I would be happy with 9-7 as it would show progress.

I remember saying before the 2001 season that I expected us to go 4-12...But that was before Mad Bill suspended Terry "Our Entire Offense" Glenn.

After that, I figured...5-11. #TrueStory!!

I thought this was an 8-8 team .....

Has @VectorPrime ever issued a Mea Culpa for that hilarious and classic September meltdown?? I've seen'm around. I asked Kontradiction ~ who quite hilariously cut and pasted the aforementioned meltdown to'is Sig, but he didn't know.

* Edit: My Apologies, @VectorPrime!! Mistook you for the erstwhile @ViperGTS!!

The strange thing is that most of the bad events of the season unfolded in exact accordance with my preseason analysis - Brady late season deep ball decline and interception uptick since the Patriots (unnecessarily) declined to rest him; defensive issues with the Gilmore signing and all its direct and indirect effects on Butler and defensive synchronization. Then the loss of Edelman and Hightower on top of that. I don't understand how despite all this the Patriots win anyway. But I continue to be even more pessimistic about the playoffs, for the same reasons I was pessimistic in the preseason, multiplied by: the opposition will be stronger, Brady more tired, and much of the receiver corps either injured or just coming back from injury, hard to imagine a playoff Patriots without Edelman and Hightower at all (not to mention Blount) and the coordinators might be distracted by the head coaching offers.

Good God, man. Get some perspective.

You sure nailed it. I remember you saying the Patriots would go 13-3, get the #1 seed, Brady would be the best player in football, and the Patriots would be Super Bowl favorites going into the playoffs. Great calls, all of them.

You the man.

Yea when Glenn was given the boot I figured we were cooked.

I remember telling a friend (during either the Atlanta or NO games that year) how nice it was to finally watch a physical defense.

Standards were pretty low back then.

Where else does going 12-4 mean your winning % went down?

Belichick the GM really kills Belichick the coach, they should be perfect.

Fair enough .. you do the worrying . they'll do their job..

We're mostly healthy, in the playoffs and in a positive momentum. 13-3, 10-6, 12-4, doesn't matter.

What?

of the AFC playoff teams, the patriots have only NOT played the Jags and the titans.

the patriots beat the bills twice, the steelers once, and lost to the chiefs.

the titans by all accounts are pretty trash, and the chiefs are not the same team they were at the start of the season, and the jags are honestly a coin flip because of bortles, shut down the run game, and they have nothing.

@Bruins29 outed this guy as a Ravens fan trolling our forum. I'd pay him no mind.

How'd it feel when the Bengals...the ****in Bengals ended your season on Sunday? Hilarious. Jump Ball Joe and John Harbawl haven't been back to the playoffs since Harbawl tried to frame TFB. But hey, at least your team can lay claim to being the first of many lately to overpay a mediocre QB and definitely the first NFL team to build a statue to a bumbling murderer.
