Other team's fans psyche

honestly they never tortured us in those years, except may be 76
Ben Dreith tortured us in 76...honestly, no offense intended. I now you've been around a long time, also. Hey, once you get past 40 years, or so, what's the diff?

This is hilarious... He encapsulates the frustration they have with patriots. I have watched three times, and I still laugh several times.

This person is stupid.

Bailey play was a touchback, called incorrectly.

Pats should have beaten Colts in Indy.

Clear holding was committed and not called on the Tyree catch.

Welker could have, should have, caught the ball.

Belichick was stupid to go for it in Denver in clear FG range.

Fans across the country, including here, were frustrated by the Cowboys' success in the 70's...did we ever accuse them of cheating? No. Did we call them insanely lucky? No. Did we label Roger Staubach a pariah? No.

Did we denigrate the Packers of the sixties? No. We admired them.

To varying extents, I admired the Dolphins, Steelers and Niners dynasties...until they later disgraced themselves...

I hate the Edmonton Oilers, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils, and so on, but did they deserve to win their titles? Yes.

I loled at his “Nah!”s

It is amazing how lucky you get when you are the best, most well prepared team.

Luck is the byproduct of working your ass off.

I was there from 74 on
In 1974 we won our first five games and started 6-1, and missed the playoffs due to two turnover-filled 1- and 2- point losses to the Bills.

The diatribe nationally was that the Fairbanks-Bullough 3-4 defense was a "gimmick" which the league "caught up with" over the second half. Typical B.S.

The Patriots lost narrowly to other teams including the eventual champion Steelers because of a rash of injuries.

Meanwhile, every team in the league but one employed the 3-4 defense within five years.

Denigration of the Patriots and any of their positive achievements, and exaggeration of their struggles has been consistent since the merger of the two leagues in 1970.

We need to keep you away from opposing fans. They are admitting that magic ferry dust is involved. Please don't insert logic now in front of them and ruin it for us all. They are almost all collectively broken. Resist the urge to correct them, please. At least until the Pats bag their sixth...

I can't count the times they were soo bad the home games were not telecast locally because they didn't sell out !

...We gotta get to eight; and more...I don't want any of them to be even close...

That was due in large part to the difficulty and hassle associated with getting there, and less than top flight amenities...

On Monday night in '76 the line of cars down Route One stretched far out there even as the opening kickoff approached...

Pats fans have always been hardy souls...we've had far more home stadiums than anybody else...we didn't have anything to prove, and '89-'92 was a four year tough stretch for us on the field and off.

Of course, local and national media and the league and everyone who hates us including Orthwein depicted our franchise as lepers.

I've said it before: I wouldn't trade being a Patriots fan all my life for any other team, ever. That includes as of 1993.

As long as we get to seven before Pitt does I'll be happy.

My Steeler friends always remind me of how many they have.
Even if most of them were won before they were alive.

****, just tying them should shut them up.

That was entertaining but I'm confused how Danny Amendola has time to host a radio show during the season...?

I saw even today on FS1 Nick Wright said something similar about they keep getting lucky etc.

I've started to hear this "luck" angle more. It's mostly because the "cheating" label can't stick without a LOT of suspension of disbelief.

What it comes down to is this; the Patriots execute using less talented players due to superior coaching, something that has to KILL Steeler fans whatwith their superior talent, but lesser coaching. There are a lot of examples I've thought of recently and maybe I'll do a thread on this (yeah, after the other 2-3 I've promised), but let's take a look at the Steeler game.

The TD is reversed. The Steelers still had two more plays to punch it in before trying for a field goal to tie it. Butler makes a great tackle to stop DHB from getting to the sideline. That's good situational awareness, combined with sound fundamental football. The following play, the fake kneel there might have worked against 25-30 teams in this league. If not for the awareness of Jordan Richards (I know!) and Eric Rowe, it's possible that play even works. Had it worked, no one would have mentioned the reversal, but because the Pats were prepared and won the game, now there's "luck" or some "conspiracy".

"THE LUCK!!!, ..Don't give me skill,... don't give me outcoaching, don't give me execution?"
LOL, !!!!

Jeez, every "Fan?" is a "blogger, media, personality"... ?

The Spoiled fans are forming into this, "I bought a Jersey, followed you because you won the Super Bowl last year, ..If you don't win this year, I'm gone", attitude.

I've mentioned , that when TB and BB are done, I'm probably done too.
Not necessarily, because "we might suck''. Who cares?
This org. has done tremendous things, since I've been a fan.

I find it hard to imagine this "SHOW", maintaining a realistic, fair game. Without the "Leveling off the playing field. The whole parity, we all deserve a slice" business figure.

Yes, it's about money.

But, the reason I'm bringing this up is the current HC situation.
There are none!

BB and his staff, are heads above... This League may become, many BB's offshoots over time.

Who wouldn't want an "any position" coach from the BB lineage.

I hate seeing Patricia or McD, moving on., BUT
It's part of the business.

The Pats will be ok. They'll groom a new batch of "cast offs".

Another note, is seeing the other teams booting their personnel with no regard....

Hey, I'm a Union IBEW worker. I deal with that on a monthly basis.

But it's sad to see theses guys hear it from "other than the team".

Oh well, ISWIS.

Lets hope, Matt and McD hang awhile.

..Rant over...

Is it just me, or this douche sounds (and looks) like Seinfeld?
