Big Ben was a rookie and couldn’t throw over 15 yards down the field. Go away

In other words, rookie Big Ben was slightly better than current road Big Ben, who has been atrocious on the road for 3 consecutive seasons now.

If you believe that you’re a fool. Their defense matches up better now than it did in 04.
The patriot defense isn’t as good this year as it was in 04 or last year.

I still think the patriots beat the Steelers if the game happens. But don’t be so quick to dismiss the Steelers.

Is this really saying much? I think not.

Yeah it is considering how much the patriots have dominated the Steelers in the past. I don’t see it being a blowout like last year.

The Steelers were most equipped to beat the Pats in 2001 and they flubbed it.

You're free to disagree with facts, but Big Ben has performed atrociously on the road in recent seasons.

I don't see anything to indicate that their defense matches up better this year than in any other year. They played more man a couple of weeks ago, but Brady still had 300 yards and the Pats put up 27 points, which is one of their best offensive outputs at Heinz, and it's also identical to what they put up in last year's regular season meeting.

If you don't think the Pats' offense will perform considerably better with home field and with Hogan back, you're a clown.

Similarly, the defense should perform better with KVN and Harrison, and possibly Alan Branch returning.

So are we going to completely ignore the fact the Steelers will have joe Haden???

Nothing is easy from here on out. The Patriots simply need to play their best football of the season for a three game playoff run. I like their chances.

Joe Haden isn’t the player he was three to four seasons ago. Far more important is the fact that Roethlisberger turns into Tom Savage on the road.

Joe Haden hasn't been relevant in years. Stop embarrassing yourself.

Have you guys watched Steelers games this year. They went from one of the best pass defenses in football to being extremely leaky when he got hurt

They've been giving up big passing plays all season, even with Haden.

They looked leaky yesterday with haden against the browns of all teams. They will try and play keep away again like the first meeting. They do have the weapons to put up points. Our 3rd down defense will have to be better in getting off the field. The pats will put up points on their defense.

Their past defense even with Haden is below average as a unit. What PIT has going for them somewhat is that they have a decent pass rush, but nothing great outside of Cameron Heyward.

NE will score on these guys, should we meet again the key will be getting off the field on third downs for our defense so that they cannot control the clock like they did in our past meeting.

I agree we will get points. I just don’t think it’s gonna be a walkthrough like some other posters think it will be.

Any team with arguably the best WR/RB in the game has a chance, even if history favors us. It may not be a walk through but we have matched up well with them, both past and present. Much moreso than KC for example.

I agree that we matchup well. But I believe Pittsburgh has a better chance than maybe ever. That’s all
