James Harrison officially signs with Pats

Let him play with his hand in the dirt as a situational pass rusher and manage his snaps in a rotation. Unless he can’t pass a physical, this is a no-brainer in much the same way Bennett was earlier this season.

The media asking useless questions again. When will they finally find out if Bill hates Alex Guerrero?

I wanted to see more of Flowers.
However if this helps us bring down big Ben vs watch him throw with a backer hanging off of him I promote this signing.
Now let's see who gets the Axe.

Oh come on now. If you made it through last years' Super Bowl, you can survive anything!

I was at last year’s super bowl and depressed for 3 1/2 quarters...it was boring right up until that point.

I wanted to see what our “Brady is a cheater” radio host buddy from Pitt thought about this move and I see from his twitter feed he’s counting the penalties we’ve had and therefore that means the league is actively trying to help the Patriots to boost their ratings.

Hilarious.

What if Harrison's a spy for the squealers? They might go to great lengths to get into our game plan lol.
Like a WWE script... Imagine if both Pittsburgh and New England make it to the AFCCG... The score is 20-20 late in the 4th quarter... Harrison has Ben in his sites... And they suddenly stops and allows Ben to throw... Harrison takes off his jersey to reveal a black and gold jersey underneath... Hugs Ben and all of his buddies... This song starts:

Heading into TC this year, I'd say a typical projected depth chart at DE looked something like:

1. Trey Flowers
2. Derek Rivers
3. Rob Ninkovich
4. Kony Ealy
5. Deatrich Wise
(and situationally, Hightower)

Which, needless to say, has turned into

1. Battling injuries
2. IR
3. Retired
4. Cut
5. Doing all he can
(and situationally, IR)

So yeah, Harrison, why the heck not?

”and situationally, IR” LMAO!

If Harrison can even be just an adequate EDGE rusher, it would allow Flowers to rush more from the inside where he is at his best. Double win.

It also looks like Wise has awakened from his two month slumber after being a DROY candidate in September (rookie wall?). This group could end up pretty good when we need it most.

Sampling of Steelers' posts on this:

He looked excellent vs. the Chiefs and made the biggest play of the game.

Dude couldn't even get on the field at the weakest position the Steelers have on defense.

Ask Alex Smith how slow Harrison is.Harrison goes on social media *****ing about playing time.

Do you think Harrison wasn’t complaining in the locker room to his teammates?

The ultimate nightmare would be Deebo strip sacking Ben to clinch the AFC title for the Cheats while Moats and Chickillo continue to make zero impact.
Don’t know if I could recover from that.

Just gotta pray they pass on Harrison, because the last thing I want to see if we face New England again, if a motivated James Harrison wearing a Pats uniform.

They won’t pass on Harrison
He has too much Intel for them to pass

Just don't buy a guy that chased down Alex Smith weeks ago for a game saving sack is all of the sudden "done".

Watch the play again. Someone else sacks Smith if James doesnt. Your usual bedwetting over the release of a 39 year old pass rusher who can't get on the field is hilarious.

Sorry our Olb have not been setting the edge as well lately and that a issue. So James was released because he was causing issues on the team. I always felt there was an issue with him an d Porter

Lol he chased him down did he?

The pocket wasn't collapsing and Smith began to turtle as Heyward was coming at him?

Interesting take on that play. I mean it's wrong but it's interesting.

Harrison destroyed the LT and was throwing Smith to the ground by the time Heyward got their up the gut to clean up.

Say what you want, he'll give away everything he can about the Steelers organization to remind them how stupid this decision was. Sorry, I don't see him as the last guy on the roster that could have been cut. We're going to regret this.

if Harrison signs with the Pats, the Steelers are sure going to pass on him, again and again and again.

If we play NE in the AFCCG, and Harrison steps on the field, he will have an impact. Even if he doesnt step on the field, he will have provided enough intel to the NE braintrust. They know how to use information to their advantage. A team in the hunt for the SB shouldn't let this happen.

He doesn’t need to cover.
Belichick will use him as he is supposed to be used at this point in his career,as a situational pass rusher similar to Dwight Freeney.
He is the DE on a 4 man front.

Well this is sorta big because the "death" of many promising seasons seem to somehow end in Gillette Stadium.
Having a motivated James Harrison on the opponent's roster sure could help history repeat itself.

3. Rob Ninkovich. <--- The combination of this and #2 really hurt
