“They recovered it.” One of my favorite lines in a while.

This was by far the best part of last night’s game. We will truly miss this man one day. I can’t think of a comedian who makes me laugh as hard as Bill does.

The reporter who asked: " Did your team look ahead to Pittsburgh"?. Seriously? What answer did you expect?

That said, most of the media are likely scared to ask him questions. The guy shoots them down, is sarcastic, and makes life hell for the media. He needs to realize they have a job.

The questions are stupid though. He knows it’s their job but he’s not gonna go easy on them when they mail it in. He respects guys who put some effort in.

What kind of question is “can you explain why you guys suck so bad in Miami? You’ve lost 4 out of the last 5 years!” Bill says uh we won last year... the guy says okay but you lost the previous three. What exactly does the performance of the 2013-2015 Patriots teams in Miami have to do with the game that happened last night? Even still, the question could’ve been phrased a lot better. Just asking “it seems like the games are a bit harder for your team over the last several years in Miami than when Miami visits NE. Does the change in temperature or humidity make you approach the game plan any differently?” would have probably netted a much nicer answer. Ask the question, don’t just spit out some general nonsense and expect Bill to do your homework for you and give you a bunch of details based on a really non-specific question.

If I never changed my bills I would never be able to buy anything in the laundromat...

His job is more important.

Last night he was extra gnarly - it was funny.
Lots of silence between questions - like who is willing to be the sacrificial lamb - usually Reiss.
Then Brady came in the room and the press became noticeably upbeat.

I think BB is unfairly misunderstood by haters. This guy is a genius and how he treats media and answers questions is amazing and so unique. When he leaves, we will miss him Thank you, Bill!

I've been waiting for you to come clean on this matter for months, perhaps years. The anticipation was killing me. Finally, all the ambiguity has been cleared away and you have come forth with a definitive statement that will be referenced by generations to come.

after the whole deflategate BS, I hate the media so I for one love how Belichick treats them .
That is unfair -- not all "the media" is to blame for perpetuating framegate. Most of them are hardworking professionals who care about fairness and accuracy. A few of them are sensationalizers and that's where the rap comes in. BB hates talking to them after a loss and usually says nothing, which wastes everyone's time.

The press conference w BB after the Miami loss was a classic! Look at his expressions when the guy asked if the team was thinking and planning for the PS game next week.

His response, demeanor, general dislike of the media and his looks are so comical, like takes from a B sports comedy or something. No coach is as surly and plain annoyed talking w the media. He cant even hide how stupid he thinks the questions are from them.

Not a huge fan of BB's style, but he deserves respect for sure.

There was one long pause, probably 30 seconds, might be a record. It was great.

Do you honestly think he would have answered any differently? Your example of a better question would have merited the same response "Well we won last year, so no. Every game is its own game what happened previously doesn't matter."

I really wish people would stop defending this crap from Bill. If you find it funny then so be it but don't act like asking the question differently is going to change his answer. Bill only answers questions when he's in a good mood and feels like it. Obviously after a loss, and in particularly the way they lost, he's going to be short and disengaged. No 'good' question would have changed that.

Well if you liked Bill last night, then you'll love him next Sunday night, after the Patsies get their finesse, under-talented asses kicked up and down the field.

That PC ought to be a real knee-slapper.

I am sure you will love it when that happens, fake fan

Always thought the these NFL mandated pressers were a giant FU to the rules of the NFL.. if he had a choice he would be doing something much different than pandering to the press.. he becomes the story and the focus is removed from the players.

The same reason why he wears old threads on the sideline, another giant FU to the rules of the NFL that mandate that he wear Nike labeled gear on the sidelines..

There is a method to his madness.. but then ask him a question about the value of practice squad players, role of the gunner on ST's or the value of left footed punter etc. and he will usually give a pretty good answer..
