Hypothetically if both Gronk and AB miss Dec 17.. which is worse?

That's a good question.

Antonio's participation on the Steelers team is insane. Higher than 25%. Plus, we need to account that we often spread the game around and the "next man up" mentality, so we're used to those changes... The Steelers however rely on AB, Bell and, in lesse degree, JuJu, and Bryant is a one trick pony and cannot replicate AB's skillset.

Definitely Brown, although I have no idea why you’d project him to miss a game that’s two weeks from now when he may even be able to play tonight.

Why would Gronk miss the Steelers game? He's only suspended for the Dolphins.

Bennett and Hogan played in that game. No?

With how long Hogan has already been out, if he's not close to returning, homeboy might as well be on IR.

But thanks for reminding me what happened last year against PIT without Gronk. Hope we have at least one of Gronk/Hogan against them.

He's not in the sling anymore. Being cautious. He will be back.

I still think it's funny how the Steelers fans were like "If Bell were healthy we would have beat you" (in the AFC finals last year). Conveniently forgetting that we spotted them the GOAT tight end and still crushed them.

To be fair, our offense was already doing whatever it felt like doing and Gronk couldn't have made it much easier. If they had Bell, maybe they score more points and their defense spends less time on the field.

Still a dumb excuse.

We'll probably see both of these players on the field in 2 weeks...

Any news on joe haden?
Seems as though he’s been off crutches since around Thanksgiving (ish) and that he’s continuing to make progress towards returning, but he claims that he still can’t do anything on the field, yet.

Once reported as a “multiple week” injury, it appears as though it’s a real possibility that he’ll miss our game on the 17th, as they’ll likely be cautious and make sure that he’s full go for the postseason. In the meantime, it’s certainly possible that they could drop a game either tonight or next weekend before we even play them, as they’re struggling on the back end.

I think if they went that long with keeping Rowe on the active roster, they should also be able to keep Hogan, especially since it should be a shorter timeline.

I read that he may be able to start practicing on a limited basis this week. I believe that he was finally starting to do some side work, last week.

Why would Gronk miss the Steelers game? He's only suspended for the Dolphins.

If he appeals it then he would play against Miami, assuming ruling will take that long but if he loses appeal, then he would be unavailable for that Steelers game.
I suppose Browns toe injury could go that long too.

We have gotten used to playing without Gronk over the years. So this hurts the Steelers more.

Fortunately it has been confirmed Gronk will only be out 1 game vs the Fish. He will be available to batter the Steelers into submission. :)

When courts aren't involved, the league normally rules on an appeal quickly. Last week Talib's suspension was issued on Monday and his appeal was heard and ban reduced on Wednesday. That's the standard timetable. Gronk won't miss the Pittsburgh game.

Brown. By a landslide.
